Wow, great texture ideas. Makes this picture so much more enjoyable. Couldn't really make out the glitter effect but should be fun to add some magic to the page. Thank you

Nice demonstration 🌲🌲🌲 ( btw ~ A complete tree has a ‘trunk‘, a ‘ stump’ is only when the tree has been chopped down, what remains in the ground is the ‘ stump ‘...

I love love that you gave Crayola such high praise. They were my "top of the line" brand when I was a kid. Crayola couldn't be beat as far as I was concerned!

I've found that a bit of powder blue or very very light blue to snow in darker areas makes it look soooo realistic

I like how you did the shadow under the snow. I don't know if I would have thought to do that. Have a nice day.

I wish I could get half the color out of Crayola that you do. If I don't press hard, I can barely see the color put down. Layers never seem to get to a decent color output either. I thought it was the set I had since it was about 20 years old, but a new set was just as bad.

I wonder if you put a layer of white pencil down first if there would be less ripple?

Nice work! When I paint with glitter glue I wash the brush out with warm water and soap afterwards and let it dry overnight.

The stickles will dry to a flat surface. they will not leave mountains unless you get the distress Stickles - they are more like puff paint.

Hi Rachel, have you tried the new set of 72 oil based, colored pencils, by Schpirerr Farben, as yet? They are bright vivid Artist pencils. These are my first set of oil based pencils; I was impressed how easily they layered upon each layer, but my Caran D’Ache Luminance line still holds that special place in my heart. Please do a review on them in 2018. TFS! Happy New Year!😘🙏🏾👍🏾

I had the same luck with that color too. Crayolas are notorious for their sharpening problem.

Very pretty! I've used Crayola pencils many times, but I always have a huge problem with them breaking after I sharpen them. Not quite sure why. And I love Stickles! I never thought of using a tiny paintbrush to smooth and even them out. I will now! Merry Christmas to you and your family!!

This is just an idea and a product you may not have tried. For adding glitter, I love Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens. Michaels carries the Clear and a 3 Pen color set. They are similar to Wink of Stella shimmer pens but I think they lay down a bit more glitter in the clear, and Spectrum Noir offers more colors. I love your piece. The snow turned out great.

I don't get the coloring community's obsession with Stickles...I love glitter but I prefer the glitter gel pens or even the Wink of Stella brushes. No mess, no glue or glitter to worry about, esp with pets around the house! I don't think my cats would be able to resist the glitter! Your page looks so lovely though 👌

Hello there, I love your videos! Personally, I liked the way that the glittery came out in your previous video, because it was appropriate for the item (sorry I don’t know the name) and now is so beautiful for the snow... Merry Christmas!

Does anyone else have trouble with sharpening Crayola Pencils? I have the leads Breaking or the wood splinter
@marybowling271266 жыл бұрын
Kim Allsup I used to until I bought a new sharpener. I got one of those that you can dial from 1-5. Now they never break.
@jenniferdendekker26706 жыл бұрын
I've heard to fix lead that keeps breaking you can put it in the oven to melt it to form a solid again. I'm not sure on the temperature or how long but I'm sure if you google it you will find that answer. Hope this helps

I'm seeing a lot of comments from gals saying they don't mind using Crayola, but have problems with them breaking when sharpening. May I ask, what sharpener are all of you using? I ask because I don't have a problem with mine doing that (with the exception of just once in a great while). I use my beloved Prisma Premieres with them a lot. I use the simplest KUM sharpener. A possibility you may think about is warming your pencils, a heating pad works well for that.
