Thank you for these videos, you have opened my eyes to not writing off cheaper brands of pencils, always thinking you get what you pay for and the other maxim 'buy cheap, buy twice. Since I am on a limited budget it took me ages to save up for the full set of prismacolors, only to watch them disappear into the sharpener as they broke. Now I feel I have other options due to watching your tests, so, many many thanks.

OMG! I just bought the last box at my local Michaels store last night! They are beautiful and I can't wait to do some real drawing with them. I got them when I realized that these colors are not in the 120 Crayola box.

I mean they are labelled exactly in the order they go.. even down to the shade and hue. There are three hue families... almond, golden, and rose... with seven to nine shades for each. I wish every pencil set was that clearly named.

I have the markers like these. Walmart clearanced them out for 3.00. I never saw these pencils. I'm gonna order me a pack of these pencils. They are so pretty.

I saw they were clearanced on the website. The pencils looked as though they were $2, but doesn’t look like my Walmart has them. They has an entire end cap the last time I was there but no pencils, just markers and crayons.

About a month ago my Walmart here had the colored pencils,markers,crayolas & the crayola coloring books all on clearance for .50 apiece so now I have several packs of the colored pencils,I was excited when they came out with this set not only to use for skin tones but I use them for other pictures as well! I just ordered mine, they are on backorder until Feb 2. I love your videos, your enthusiasm is contagious. How would these blend if you used Gamso, or the prismacolor blender pencil?l

I’m so glad you’re enjoying my videos. I’m not sure how they would blend with gamsol as I don’t use blending solvents in any of my work. Im not sure I could tolerate the fumes and I really want my pencils to just blend on their own. I love mixing pencil brands if I need to.

They ARE nice. I have them, the crayons, & the markers (Colors of the World). I like blending with a clear blender pencil rather than the white pencil...much easier. Thorton's colorless blenders are on Amison in a 3 pack but any will do.

Pamela what about a Derwent Burnisher instead of the Prisma white,I find the burnisher softer than a blender ❤️

3 Years Later.... They're at Wal*Mart, and as of writing this, there's a pack of Crayola coloring pencils in a set of *150*, that includes the Colors of the World colors as well and 6 new colors: four from the Colors of Kindness (Crayellow, Cool Mint, Oatmeal and Powder Blue) and two being completely new (Eggplant and Lavender) Half of the other colors are new to this coloring pencil set including Manatee, Pacific Blue and Apsaragus, while the Extreme Neon colors are included as well.

I have these on order. I am in no hurry but will be surprised if they come early. They MAY BE at my Walmart; however not worth my going there, because I really don't need anything else right now. However, next time I go, if they have them, I would be happy to get extras.

I grouped my almonds, goldens, and roses separately, lightest to darkest. I thought that might be how I would use them?? 🤔 Have you ever used these colors in other things than skin? The lightest colors seem to be mostly white?

Well...I do need to go to the store to get cat food. 🤔 Might just wander over to the arts & crafts section 😊! I ordered my Dahle-133 yesterday. I would imagine the harder wood would mean the cores are better protected. I’m experiencing the ‘typical’ Prismacolor issues (tips breaking and off-center cores). These colors are beautiful. Is it possible that the ones your having more trouble sharpening are simply off centre? If you put an off centre pencil in your sharpener and the point goes in the centre then one side of that wood is going to be bigger or fatter whatever and that's where your sharpener sticks when you go around.

I have the crayons and just bought the pencils and went to swatch them today and pencils are actually bent/bowed in the middle of the pencils. They work but if they were my expensive pencils I would send the back! I mean they are bent badly.

Get a AFMAT ELECTRIC SHARPENER. I can use any CRAYOLA AND PRISMACOLOR. I don't think a square one will work but most pencils should not be any problem

I love my Dahle 133 and my Jarlink (which is electric). I have reviews on both on my channel. I didn't have much luck with the Afmat and the "auto stop" unfortunately.

I did not think I would like these, but I do...~ I collect Skin Tone Colored Pencil Sets & thought to give them a fair try. Looking forward to see you color skin with them & doing so myself. Any chance you would do any Equivalency List between the Colors of the World Skin Tones & Prisma Skin Tones for us...? Perhaps in the future...? Merci beaucoup...!

so the downer is that there are no transition colors, which i expect and i think Crayola needs to revisit their color palette choices.

Because then you would need to pay shipping on such a small amount. I would assume shipping is about the same cost as the pencils? I was able to get mine on Amazon on Prime without shipping costs.

They are because the wood is harder. You should be fine if you get yourself a Dahle 133 like I show in the video 😀
