Oh yea owning a bus is no joke. When you first buy the bus is the most difficult part. Once it finishes growing getting it out of the ground like this is almost impossible. The wheels grow into the ground and everything. I must say it’s difficult but worth it to be able to say I own a bus.
@matt37902 жыл бұрын
It's only stressful if you have no clue what you're doing. I've watched a couple episodes and all I see is mistake after mistake. A little Common Sense goes a long way and can save you a lot of money videos are a good what not to do. For example a small piece of plywood under each Tire to distribute the weight would prevent it from sinking. I can also assure you that that bus will never be the same again by the way they were pulling it. Because buses are so long the frames Bend easy.

What kind of idiot parks a bus in sand for months to years without putting something under the tires? Fucking uhh wood maybe idk lmao 🤣
@NorCalPlumber2 жыл бұрын
So I’m going to guess you bought a bus at public auction and then drove it home, where you thought it would be a great idea to store it in the backyard full of sand. (It was only supposed to be a temporary thing?). But life happens and you didn’t have the money to do what you wanted to do with the bus, so it just sat for a couple years sinking into the sand. Now you had to spend the entire budget you had been saving to convert the bus just to undo your f**k up, just to get the bus back out to the drive way. Sounds like the American way to me. 🤘🏻

I had the same thing happen with my bus in the Florida sand of my backyard. Towing companies wouldn’t touch it so we ended up having to use a harbor freight bottle jack and loads of wood to slowly lift the back wheels up to fairly level with the ground. 1 week later it was finally out and no longer leaves the concrete pad. Congrats on getting it out !!

💯 agree. It would be significantly less expensive to just build a tiny home from scratch. Then they wouldn't have any design constraints aside from just making sure its within parameters to be legally towed. I don't even want to think about what it cost them to get that pulled out. Also, having your engine permanently attached to your home is asking for trouble imo. If everyone who thinks they want to jump on the tiny living trend would try it out in an inexpensive travel trailer for a year 1st, 90% would abandon the plan and realize it isn't anywhere near as romantic or inexpensive as they think it is. (I speak from painful personal experience).
