i think a double everest wont be that hard like this one. Sure, it will be hard but more for the muscles and mental. For 7 hours, you can punch yourself in the face pretty good, but for 17hours, its another system stress. 24h climping world record should suit phil also very good :D So whatever he does next, im exited.

Yes, power/weight ratio is the only thing that matters for aerobic performance. So you’d have to be slightly worried if he couldn’t ride faster than you

Best I could reach was 292w at 62kg.... I trained a couple more months after the last test so I may have reached 300. In the end all I got was an inflamed knee tendon and quit racing lol

Recoveries above 90% are uncommon. Even if you have had multiple rest days.

Dude!! Lachlan Morton just "K2'd" and it was elevation of K2 on all different hills.. cannot ride the same hill twice. Pretty dope! Great accomplishment here, congrats!!

The title says it all - why???? But I'm a sprinter... a track sprinter at that. Holding 300 watts..... for that long ..... ridiculous!!!! I'm intrigued about this; I have a 470ft at 7% climb nearby requiring 62 laps. I'm just a little concerned about descending while being cross-eyed.

Pacing was spot on! A true pro. The GI issues at the end most likely are carb related, especially from the drinks, maybe a fueling strategy involving non carbs drinks could help (just electrolytes). 8 hours of constant carbs consumption can be problematic.

You, sir, are the man. Fantastic effort and kudos on nailing it. In high school, if someone threw up they were given the title of "Athlete of the meet" or Athlete of the workout" depending on whether it was an event or just a workout. You were definitely the athlete of the meet.

I got to be honest we all love cycling videos this is just what I need to get it going the blood I love it. I always watch these before I go out and get my body moving. I love when I always watch one of these, and then put up my heavy playlist I love like Delta Parole and then I just go haaaaard!!!! Tactic hasnt let me down yet.

The next adventure is a double Everest but downhill with shuttling. You could even make it chainless (no peddling allowed). Where is the longest continuous descent? Locally for me it is GMR from just below the shack. It's about 9 miles and just under 2,000 feet (15 k and 600 M).

Nayziko it’s a registered record, you don’t need KZbin for fame and glory, but you do have to register on the website for it to count officially, otherwise any idiot on a moped with a garmin could break it

I helped a solo rider on the Anchorage to Fairbanks race/ride. Halfway there, we had to help him off the bike to pee, he was in shock and his pupils were tiny. How he managed to continue and finish the last 150 miles I will never grasp. It was crazy.

How about a new record attempt... "Challenger Deep Descent"... 36,200 feet of descending? "The deepest part of the ocean is called the Challenger Deep and is located beneath the western Pacific Ocean in the southern end of the Mariana Trench, which runs several hundred kilometers southwest of the U.S. territorial island of Guam. Thats how a marathon is. You taper and your legs have never felt better and the first half you feel like you're going so slow because its so easy, and then the second half is just pain and at no point is it ever actually fun.

Living in Central Florida, I tried to figure out how I would do this. Sugarloaf Mountain is the biggest climb within an hour from my house, but I think I would have to do it about 300 times, and that may be an underestimation. Anyway, very well done and nice pukage at the end.

I've used SP for years and am experimenting with no float on my cleats for the first time ever - curious as to whether or not you have float or no float on yours !? Main takeaway; Shave the beard off before the everesting attempt; 1. Faster downhill (aero). 2. Faster uphill (weight). 3. Puke friendly chin. (Like I could do even one lap of that :D)

I think I know someone who wants to try and break the record. He is called Jason Osborne and is a German rower but soon to be pro cyclist. He said he wanted to beat the record but before you came around. I'll bet 10 bucks that he will beat it (or at least come very close)
