But today, I decided to compare three EXTREMES of living in Moscow - a super expensive, very cheap, and a third surprise option! See what shocked me, what I loved, and where I wouldn’t fit at all! In Russia, even the cheapest apartments come with a dishwasher. Your left hand and your right hand! That capsule hotel is like home sweet closet, I'd feel like Harry Potter in there. But if you just need a bed for sleep and a shower, there you go!

Back in 2020-21 I used to stay in (South) Reutov which is technically a Moscow oblast, but my place was a 4-5 minute walk to Metro station called Novokosino and it would take me about 20-25 minutes to get to the city center (it's the shortest line) my apt was 45k rubles per month, 68 sq metres, brand new everything, especially the kitchen was absolutely badass, 23rd floor, my balcony alone was about 9 sq metres which they call a "lodgy" or smth like that, I still miss that place and the neighborhood was amazing, the moskovits look down on it, but it has everything, amazing parks nearby, two huuuge lakes in Kosino (def a walking distance) the woods you can get lost in if not careful, all kinds of shopping malls and convenience supermarkets everywhere, one of the best fitness clubs I've ever been to all within a walking distance, also commuter trains and the station called Reutov right by my house on top of the metro station. What an amazing deal I got, and everybody was asking me why would I live so far away in a shitty neighborhood like Novokosino hahaha, they don't know anything

Btw that Babushka stating the apartment building will be demolished in 2029-2032 is a fantastic opportunity.... A few friends of mine bought mini apartments in Moscow for 900,000 rubles .... They are scheduled to be demolished in 2026 ... The government offered them 5 million rubles ... Basically 5x what they paid. Omg that capsule is tiny ...you're like what 155cm if that ? 😂😂

Реакция какая то странная, при входе в старый дом, типа омайгад,а что там такого было? Обычный подъезд, не раздолбанный, чистый, не разрисованный, а какой еще он должен быть в старом доме, и наличие чистого коврика, говорит о том что там убирается, бомжами не зассано. за 17 к рублей комната тоже вполне неплохо выглядит, все старое, но опрятное, не сломанное, с новой ванной, раковиной. Есть и намного хуже)). Капсула прикольная, как место переночевать очень классное, для тех кто проездом или ненадолго, они явно не созданы, чтобы там жить месяцами, но на пару дней очень прикольно, есть и душ и поспать ,и место где можно посидеть перекусить.

Спасибо! Саша, твои видео отличаются от других каналов. Они интереснее, что ли))). Сними видео в каком либо из ночных клубов и баров Москвы. Цены, публика и прочее. После санкций, иностранные группы не приезжают с концертами. Тем не менее, это дало неожиданный эффект. Я принадлежу к готической субкультуре. и могу утверждать, что русская "Темная Сцена" переживает бешеный рост именно из за санкций. Очень сильный подъем. Русские группы теперь собирают залы,люди активно ходят на концерты русских групп. Количество мероприятий увеличилось в разы. Если будет желание-обращайся. Сходим на пару мероприятий, снимешь сюжет. Obviously, when there is a lot of money, the choice is huge in any city in the world, Moscow is no exception: townhouse, penthouse, studio, just a huge apartment with 3-5 rooms, not counting kitchen and bathrooms. There is also a large selection of apartments in the middle price category. It is much more difficult to find something cheap, but still of acceptable quality

You've succeeded in scaring me away from Moscow, a place that's been recommended to me since the 80's by most people about as much as a haunted house. Their honesty is attractive though, and the older I get I'm finding we have much in common and enjoy their culture. And to be fair, growing up in rural New England there aren't many cities I'd be comfortable staying long term in.

Thank you for an utterly interesting video! Rental rates in Moscow exchange to foreign currencies quite low these days equal to ones in the quite small towns in Europe. Way back a rental rate of even a studio flat in the outskirts of Moscow were far higher, about 1K USD per month.🙂

The vast, vast majority of people in Russia, including Moscow, own their flats outright without a mortgage. In St. Petersburg it's over 85%. Outside SPB and Moscow, it's nearly 100%. The expensive apartment she highlights in the video represents a very small sector in the market. It probably caters to the international business class who need temporary housing. In my neighborhood in St. Petersburg, you can get a relatively nice, 1 room flat with updated design for around $400/month. When we moved from DC 20 years ago, a similar flat there in a similar neighborhood there was going for $1600. No doubt it's much higher today. Most Russians have one or two kids in the family and two sets of grandparents, so the kids end up inheriting their grandparent's flat. For those who don't there are pretty reasonable buying plans for new flats. A lot of people buy them ahead of time as they are being built and by the time they move in, they own them ipoteka (mortgage) free.

Кстати . Лучше загородный частный дом с садом и огородом , чем многоэтажный человейник . Не хотелось бы , обратно в многоэтажный человейник , прожив в многоэтажке 2012 - 2021 , мне хватило . Это каждый день слушать бесконечный ремонт соседей . Одни заканчивают ремонт , другие начинают , и так годами . Весь дом , это бесконечный ремонт .

Так она на половину русская, один из родителей из России, второй из США (не помню кто конкретно откуда). В одном из первых видосов она про это рассказывает. Выросла и жила она "там", но русский учила и говорит вполне свободно...
