One of the most common ways to travel around Russia is by train! 🚂 But there’s only ONE daily steam-powered passenger train left in Russia, and it takes you to Ruskeala Mountain Park! 🗻
For me, the Ruskeala Express is Russia’s Polar Express, the ride is just as magical as the winter wonderland outside its windows. Feel like a noble as you sit inside your royal carriage, and eat some Kalitkas to get a taste of Karelia.
But I didn’t venture North alone, a very special guest came with me all the way from Mexico! 🇲🇽 And he’s never seen so much snow in Russia like in Ruskeala.❄️
The Ruskeala Mountain Park is not just enchanting, it also has history behind every marble stone.🪨 Its caves even helped build the city of Saint Petersburg! But a train isn’t the only ride we are going to take, there’s also a real Russian horse and sleigh awaiting us 🐎 and something very EXTREME!
So come along on this winter journey as I head to Russia’s North, and see where Russia’s Polar Express takes me! 🚂🇷🇺
