Adam, I love all your activities!! I have been a pediatric OT for 30 years and needed a dose of your enthusiasm and creativity!! My clients via teletherapy are a lot of school age boys 8-12 and are enjoying these ALOT!! Keep em coming :)

Thank you so much for sharing your ideas! We need to help my 7yo son improve his fine and gross motor skills and I think he will really enjoy this activity as well as many of the others that you've shared! I'm excited to try this out with him ☺️

I love all the activities using the cans. My OT and I did the stacking one yesterday and the class loved it. I was surprised at how much participation we got just from using cans. Keep up the great work I love your ideas.

This is so fun and simple! I find myself checking your videos every week as I'm planning my telehealth sessions because my kiddos love your activities! Keep them coming! I'd love some new fun ideas for crossing midline, weight-bearing on the upper extremities, maybe something for more severely involved kids.

Thanks Jessica! Love your comment 🤗 I'm trying to come up with more activities that are super gradeable based on ability or age. Ideally I try to make a game I could use with a child all the way from 4-12 years of age and then it gives the therapist a huge range of difficulty they can scale up or down based on the individual child. I have one coming out today called "save the spoons" that's a good example of that 😁👍

Thanks, Adam! I have been using bands on the cans in my teletherapy. I also have been using the cans as weights, having them hold straight out in front and count to 5 or 10. The tumbling tins looks challenging!

Hi Adam! Your a rock star! You rock OT! You are so creative and your activities are fun and motivating! I love how the activities address so many areas using very simple household items. I recently started doing telehealth OT and your activities have been a blessing! I work with underprivileged kids and it's difficult coming up with treatment ideas without my equipment. Thank you! Thank you! I look forward to more activities!

Love your videos and used and adapted so many of your activities into my teletherapy sessions! I work with 3-5 year olds so we used playdough jars instead of tin cans to play the “Can We Build It” game. Perfect size and weight for my little munchkins! Keep these ideas coming. We won’t be going back to school

Great activity! Would love to see any fun activities for kids that have little or no use of one hand (stroke, CP). Hard to think of ideas for proximal strength that are still fun!
@AdamtheOT4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion Marcy. I'll have a think and try to think of some good ones for you 🤔. Is your goal to encourage more use of the effected hand or to challenge coordination, strength, dexterity etc with tasks that only require 1 hand?

Love your videos, thank you! I would love more activities to support keyboarding skills through teletherapy.
@AdamtheOT4 жыл бұрын
That's a great idea Cindy. Let me think on it. I have a few kids that work on key boarding but lots of the work is within the shared screen or looking at the keyboard, I'll think about the logistics of how to capture them on video 👍

Thanks Riny. I wanted to post a short series of 3 instead of a single game so parents and therapists could get a good 10-20 min of their session with something as simple as a tin can 👍😁

@AdamtheOT4 жыл бұрын
Ive had kids as young as 3-4 use the band cans and tumbling tins and as old as 16 do all 3. One of the reasons I like these so much is they are very easily graded. A younger learner may need a little more assistance with ther initial set up but all 3 activities benefit from having a very clear goal and are kind of self correcting (if they don't do it right the can will just fall off) 😁
@juliawishart28024 жыл бұрын
Thanks. It looks so fun, can’t wait to try it in Telehealth appointments next week!
