Is there a reason why the slides are more plain? Is it because its to play it safe so that the kids who are more sensory sensitive don't get distracted? Want to make my own slides, any suggestions :)?

I do take that aspect into consideration when creating slides/templates. I think it's good to keep them fun with interesting graphics, but at the same time avoid the graphics from becoming distracting. You could create a template and then customize it a bit more for each child based on their needs. I customize the slides based on materials that I know the child has access to for therapy sessions, so customizing the graphics as needed (removing some/adding some) can be done at the same time.
