CRAZY Engineered New Custom RR Metal Brake from INNOVA

Back in the olden days when I was doing aluminum siding, I had an eight-foot brake and it was top of the line then in 1980 I thought I was flying high. This thing is the Cadillac of brakes. This thing is sick and the fact that they customized it for RR puts it at another level. Tell the truth Kyle after Greg left did you just sit there for an hour just starring at it. That's what I would have done. Great video!! I'm so jealous right now.

I bought a 9ft 12.5" depth Innovatools brake, cutter, and stand to replace my Vanmark Trim-a-Brake II earlier this year, using your coupon code (thanks!). I love it...this configuration is super portable and it's a big upgrade over the Trim-a-Brake wedge style I had before (now I can hem, the cutter saves a lot of time and wear vs. a utility knife). And then when R&R building is laser engraved into all of the strong backs all the way down that is absolutely sick. Bought my 10’ 6” brake with coil holder and cut-off tool in February 2000. It kills me to say it cost $2,000. It remains in perfect condition. My first trailer was 8’ long so I extended the front and back of the trailer so the brake would not be exposed to the elements.

Has that been sitting there for a while? I went crazy when I saw on my mental timeline that the building didn't have a glass main door or a concrete pad outside. Was that delivered almost 4 months ago? The brake is awesome, it looks so precise. Personally, I’m in love with aluminum engineered extrusions and how tools made from them look and feel.👏

To put a stopper on that piece you can maybe use a stopper for your framing square like you would use for setting stairs maybe. That would make it easier to slide your metal over it and get into the brake i am assuming

Pretty sweet 200 percent nicer the the I had back in the 70s 10 feet no slitter no legs and not near not all the neat stuff stuff yours has I use to do Aluminum siding and wrap the windows and door jams and all the other things to cover up the old stuff . So, if the clamp handle won’t go horizontal, it’s going to be difficult to lay the coil up top to lay out the material. I’ve always taken my coil from the Port o Coiler and marked both side bends and cuts while on top of the brake. Never used a separate work area. Seems too heavy to move from job to job easily as well

I think I would like it better if handles on top locked the metal tight by pushing handles forward, so they would be out of the way for bending larger angles

you can actually change how that works and wether you are used to a van mark brake or a tapco it will go both ways

Never work in Oz. We use steel in 24 and 26 gauge. Need huge machines for that so most is done in dedicated sheet metal shops.

It might be better if the brake stayed fully open until you pulled the lever, it seemed the weight of the arms and handle kept closing it

the back 3/8'' bolts at the pivot point simply need to have the pressure increased, you can dial it in to your preference so that it stays up just fine and closes with minimal effort! (as shown in our instruction video)

not necessary at all, the countersunk flathead screws have enough surface tension when torqued properly that they will not loosen up from vibrations
