Makes sense, she probably doesn't realise that her friendship with Lucy has caused her trauma. I was in a relationship where the guy would fly off the handle over irrational things (e.g one time I apparently got off the bed wrong "in a huffy manner" because I'm short & I exhaled a little at the jump from bed to floor & he lost his sh*t with me) I still to this day panic that people are angry at me when I've done nothing wrong. My Mum often says "why on earth are you apologising for that?!" I can stand up for myself if I prepare myself for an argument, but I'll automatically apologise for things like me tripping up next to someone or if I drop my own book. Sometimes I catch myself now & immediately afterwards I'll say "wait, why am I apologising for that?" I haven't seen that guy in over 15 years, but I still do this.

Not only that, but having sex in front of someone who is only trying to do their job is even worse. Plus, acting like they aren't even human, how has she NOT been sued in one form or another by now? Even if I NEEDED the job, I'd have quit the first time I saw that or heard her say that. Then I'd sue both her and her parents for allowing her to even think that it was ok to do this, sexual harassment, indecent exposure, and depending on if I was under-aged indecent exposure on front of a minor, or child enticement, both are BIG in the courts.

It's at least assault of the highest grade because it shows premeditated deliberate attempt at bodily harm, far more than say punching someone or stabbing them in a non-lethal area of the body in an up close impromptu scuffle. Crazy lady's lawyer may be able to claim that: 1- no one would assume they could cause a deadly crash under those conditions, & 2- her crazy mindset was to punish the friend to make her suffer & regret cutting her out of her life, which of course OP couldn't suffer if dead. It's actually likely the DA will charge her with attempted manslaughter just to leave room for the charges to be reduced to 1st degree assault later, or sometimes what they will do is take it all the way to court with both charges & see which one gets found guilty of at trial depending on all the evidence gathered by then. The fact that another person in the friend group was threatened with the killing of their pet shows that crazy lady's mindset is more to punish by making people suffer instead of murdering them.

This story doesn't even surprise me too much, I grew up with my dad's side being on a similar level of wealth, so my grandma and great grandpa have staff to help them around the house, more when they got older, and I saw so many family members treat the staff poorly because "they're employees". The people backing the girlfriend up in this story are probably from a similar circle and have been brought up to see staff as their servants instead of fellow human beings. And in so many of these cases, the people are hired through an agency, and work for wealthy circles, so reporting your current employer could get you black listed and make it almost impossible for you to find work. It's depressing to see how money changes people

Story 1: Shock is one hell of a human response, it's always interesting how the mind responds to extreme stress, like she was almost killed by her ex-friend and her first and only thought was the car and her husband's reaction and one of her first actions is to post on reddit. This is no fault to op of course because she must have been in some serious stress and throughout the post I was worried she had some hidden injury like a concussion or whiplash (in a lot of car crashes people have injuries that can seriously hurt/kill someone hours/days after a crash because they did not seek medical help thinking they're alright), but I'm glad she's alright overall. But yeah, I think Lucy got off easy- unless this was part of what op was told to keep hush by the lawyers. People like her don't obey a piece a paper and personally jail time or a lawsuit (or both) could help hammer home just how serious they are about the restraining order, because honestly she shouldn't get away with attempted murder.

With everything that’s happened no doubt they’ll have a lot of court cases with Lucy. One for using her car as a weapon with the intent of hitting and hurting op (possibly intended to kill her with threatening to kill another friends dog), did this with so much force that she damaged all the cars with her’s missing parts of her car one and op’s husband’s car was so damaged it’s unusable getting totaled. That should be vehicular assault court case as she very easily could’ve seriously injured, disabled op or even killed her. Lucy would be the one “liable in civil court for the injury and damage you cause, you can be charged with a crime. In some states, the crime is known as vehicular assault. Aggravated assault is designated as a serious offence that involves causing serious physical harm to another knowingly and with the intent to commit a crime. In many instances, crippling injuries, and a threat to a person's life exists.” So she would responsible to pay all their costs, but her insurance might be the one to cover all those costs for her. If not all then some and she pay the rest. They could and should definitely sue her for emotional distress and such because of this extreme and dangerous type of crime. I could see her already charged by the police for lying to police officers about a crime she committed by how she lied about how her car was damaged, that might also be Interfering with a police case or report. She should also be charged for doing a hit & run. This all plus the evidence of the video from the husband’s car, reports on the cars by police and on this whole situation should make it easy for them to get a restraining order. They could have the other friends write like witness statements about Lucy of her character and past toxic and dangerous behavior like threatening to kill their dog and other things she did when shes both mad and unstable like abusing them. They need to be really cautious and careful going against Lucy in court because it will only make her get worse with her crazier and dangerous behavior. They need to get security cameras all around their home, in op’s car, a great security alarm. If they already do then get them all upgraded. And tell all their neighbors, friends & family (who don’t know her) , a their employer and colleges about what happened and is going on with Lucy. Send them all a picture of her and what kind of car she has, tell the front desk and security never to let her in. Because I can see her trying to do something else and it being worse then trying to run over op with their car!!! A restraining order is just a piece of paper that means nothing to crazy people. They need to be careful and look over their shoulder, maybe get a gun License to get one because I can see her going back to their house or even break into their house or something

Last story- this is not about the gf being super rich (or at least her family is) but about her being an exhibitionist. She's only gotten away with it so far because she has money and so far her behavior is confined to her home. If she were a normal person doing this she probably would have an arrest record already for exposing herself. Groups of people do this all the time and it's really "look at me" behavior. Streakers, spring break flashing behavior, you get the picture. She is NOT a sweet person, btw.

Yes these folks can and will get a restraining order if they ask about it. Those items will also go a long way towards an attempted murder charge or assault charges.

Probably footage from the store OP ran into her as well. Will show Lucy coming towards her, yelling, and I assume once Op goes to leave, will also show Lucy intentionally following to the parking lot to DRIVE INTO HER. Sounds like the Tesla also took photos/video which will be very helpful. Like...I think Op hasn’t quite realized she is SO lucky to be alive. Hell, the Tesla is probably a big part of that! And Lucy’s insurance is the one who will pay, not OP’s.

Story one, Lucy sounds like someone that would have gone after OP regardless of how long ago OP cut them off. The fact they tried to hurt Op with zero regard for *her own life* in the crash if it had hit how she was aiming it could have killed them both, after just *one* chance meeting? Lucy was crazy with a capital 'C'. You don't just jump to murder like that as a sane person and OP needs therapy to realize their priorities in stress. .

I’d heard the first part of the last story before, but not the whole thing. That girl will be in for a terrible wake-up call when she encounters the wrong person. She will either be sued for sexual harassment or find herself on the wrong side of harassment (or worse) herself. The way that she talks about others not being able to have her, so it doesn’t matter how she behaves around them is dangerous thinking. I’m not one to victim blame when something terrible happens, but it is sensible to take certain precautions among strangers. Perhaps I’ve seen too many episodes of criminal minds or forensic files, but I’m worried for her. Her classist attitude towards staff is a whole other issue and I wag a mother’s disapproving finger at that thinking.

Some people think that the people working hard to deliver their orders, be it food or stuff they ordered online, like electronics, are not actual people and also some think that those delivery people should basically behave like robots. The last story absolutely appalled me. It's fine for her to feel comfortable with her body, but some of those whom she doesn't consider "people" could see it as her being a tease, and sometime, somewhere, when she least expects it, one of those delivery men, or perhaps even her driver, or other staff, will be pushed over the edge, and she will be sexually assaulted. And she will wonder why. She should only be dressed as described in the presence of her boyfriend and possibly her personal maid. Intimate activity should never occur when there is anyone else, "person" or not, in the same room, unless it is a consensual act. I doubt the maid would consent to being a witness, much less a participant. I suspect her very privileged upbringing may have contributed to her classist attitude, unless she is simply an exhibitionist. Her accusing OP of being jealous is brain-dead, because she shouldn't be flaunting her nearly naked body to anyone but him, acknowledged "person" or not. As it is, she is an incident just waiting to happen, and then her inconsiderate attitude will ruin some man's life, especially during these socially distanced times. People are at a breaking point, and she could be lighting the fuse on a stick of dynamite. I truly hope she learns common decency before she learns an even harder lesson.

Your entire post smells like victim-blaming... Someone who gets sexually assaulted is not at fault for that, no matter what they wear. The one who assaults others is, as they clearly lack self-restraint. This kind of victim-blaming is why many sexual assault cases still don’t get the attention they deserve. Don’t get me wrong, I agree that it’s very inappropriate to not wear anything around people you don’t know intimately. But citing “this will cause sexual assault” when sexual assault is far more complex than that (it’s about power more often than not) isn’t the way to go.

Woah hol up. Prancing around people half naked is wrong, yes, but it wouldn't mean that she would bear moral responsibility for being sexually assaulted. 1st story, the single thing that pisses me off the most is how despite Lucy being cuffed for attempted vehicular murder, OP and her husband are still stuck holding the bill for their, more then likely, totaled car. The car is practically brand new and insurance won't pay anymore then its bluebook value, which is more then likely less then 50% of what it cost OP had to pay for the vehicle. Meaning OP and her husband are out about 30k+ dollars, which is no small chunk of change. OP and her husband should absolutely sue for all damages insurance doesn't cover, pain and suffering (damaged teeth), and time they're out a vehicle due to her actions. 2nd story, she's completely bonkers. If it was the other way around, he'd probably be in cuffs months ago. Her gaslighting and ignorance knows no bounds.

S1: It wasn't the OP's fault Lucy is a screwy wreck with all the bells and whistles. Don't have your insurance take on the over cost of what her insurace won't cover though. She did this in ill intent you can get that covered as well from her in the form of punitive damages. After all why should your insurance take a hit for an accident that you didn't cause? Of course your fiance's going to care more about you than the car. I feel that you still expect people to treat you poorly only cause Lucy put that mentality on you to begin with and am glad you two will work together to help you see that you deserve to have a healthy loving relationship going forward. S2: This is a reminder of that saying: Money can't buy you class, love or manners. There's no changing someone so set in their ways that the feel their right's outweight any of their wrongs. Don't worry about her cause she made her choice to never treat anyone she see's as "less" as anything more than. That's her lost and it'll lead her to either be used by someone, sued by someone or both. It snowed over the past couple of days with today just being cold. I kinda stayed inside since sometimes cold is a trigger for my asthma to flare up. I had my kitty keeping me company as well as some nice warm meals for the day so alls good. I think OP in story 1 may have past experience with domestic violence, but it may just be trauma caused from her friendship with Lucy. Days, even WEEKS after surviving an attempted murder, OP is afraid of being held responsible for it and of the damage to inanimate objects. Thinking like that is not the default. It's learned. Not trusting your partner is a self preservation tactic because abusers will exploit you in your most vulnerable moments to cause you further pain. You learn to pull back emotionally and expect backlash in attempt to preserve your own sanity. I don't think OP needs *marriage counseling.* I think they need one-on-one therapy. With a trauma specialist, possibly. Even if I'm wrong about the past abuse, being a victim of an attempted murder is still traumatic. OP needs help learning or re-learning to put more focus and value into their own health and safety. They should be able to accept and seek comfort from their partner, not fear punishment. And it doesn't sound like it's the husband's fault she feared his response.

“They can’t have me anyway”, she is aware that r*pe exists, right?? Like, any of those people can take advantage of her at any time. Really sad that she is saying he’s “misogynistic” and all, but forgetting that what she’s doing is violating people’s right to consent, and, opening doors naked without knowing who’s on the other side of the door. That’s straight up dangerous.

Story 2 gave me the creeps. At the most innocent level an exhibition fetish has to be consensual for all parties exposed to it and the the very worst it should be pointed out to this woman, who feels like staff aren’t people and she should be free to expose herself at any level, that Ilse Koch of the infamous human skin lampshade felt the same way (and even did a lot of the same exhibitionist stuff the girlfriend does) when her husband was commandant of the Buchenwald concentration camp.

What is there even to ask? You tell your hubby and then you let the insurance company sue the crap out of your ex-friend. It's just that simple. You already made a police report, now you get a lawyer and let them sort out the suing with the insurance or however these things work in your jurisdiction.
