I can't tell you how much I love this video! It reminded me of when my 2 girls still lived at home, and we hunted and fished together. Just out there having fun and enjoying time spent with each other. Jeff, that father/daughter time will NEVER be forgotten by you, or your girls! And the mishaps are just part of the fun memories!

It's funny how when Jeff and Christina team up little things happen that crack me up. For some reason this video specifically reminded me of when you guys were hunting in 2 teams. It was getting close to dark and (if I remember correctly) Kez got a deer and everyone was dealing with her deer. So Jeff took Christina and they went after another deer that was at the far end of a large clearing that was right next to the wooded area where Kez's deer fell. Jeff and Christina set up behind a small berm as the deer was walking towards their position. Evidently Christina had some heavier loads then usual. Like a pro Christina waited until the deer was in her zone and she took the shot. BOOM!!! Jeff was super excited (but when is Jeff NOT super excited?) because as usual Christina was spot on target. But the look on Christina's face wasn't showing as much happiness for her success as it showed the look of her trying to hide the stress that one feels when one is having a sudden problem with breathing. As well as a possible separated shoulder. Jeff inquired... "Are you o.k.?" Christina barely got the words out... "Uh, er, I uh, kinda got the wind knocked out of me." I couldn't help but laugh at how equally cute and tough Christina is when she's dealing with a bit of a sudden physical challenge. You all crack me up to no end. There was that time when Jeff and Sarah went out together and Jeff called in an Elk that was on the other side of a pretty good size river. The Elk came in but stopped just before it completely exited the bush. When Sarah took the shot Jeff immediately asked her... "Did you get him?" and Sarah answered him with a harsh whisper, in the most stressed out tone of voice, along with an equally stressed out look on her face... "I DON'T KNOW!" I was rolling on the floor laughing. She got that elk and it was huge. The whole family returned the next day with two horses, parted out the elk, and the horses packed it out, easy peazy lemon squeezy. You all know how to do a lot of different things. But what impresses me the most is that you can do those things well. That's the key. Not a lot of people have the kind of talent that each of you have. Where they can do so many things well. My hope is that all the Birkenshaw sisters get married to good men and have big five children families of their own. That way the girls can pass along all they have learned from Jeff and Rose to the next generation. At least 25 grandchildren for Jeff and Rose would certainly be appropriate. With numbers like that humanity as a whole will have a shot at actually building a much better world then the one humanity has been struggling with lately. Even if you have to go as far north as humanly possible. Do everything you can to pass this life and these skills onto your parents progeny. Never have the words... "Be fruitful and multiply" meant so much to us in our modern history. Take care. sincerely, Dean O. :-I

Was just walking up the beach today with the Mrs and we were talking about how rare it is to see people out in small boats (dingys) these days. 25 years ago it was pretty much all anyone had. Would just carry ot into the waves and launch off the beach. Nowadays everyone needs something over 20 feet and has to be launched at a boat ramp if it doesnt live at the dock. No need for a license on the ocean. Pick the right day and it could be safer.

Awesome fish… you can fix that paddle with a wooden dowel , snap it off clean bend it out as much as possible then fit the dowel in the center, use a couple screws to attach. it will never be the same again but will work if needed. Usually There’s a switch or button on those reals to stop that horrendous noise.

Great video! Your catch was pretty nice! All of those yellow tail and grouper! The bonito are a bit bloody and I herd they are great for cut bait. But those yellow tail taste good raw dipped in soy sauce! This is a great experience for your entire family! I wish I made the time to do this sort of thing with my daughters. I can’t wait to see the next video!

Nope, this one was a bonito for sure. The bonito and skip jack look almost identical on the outside, but very different meat texture, color and flavour.

Yes🤔Back home we call the Bonito [ Bonita ] it’s Family to the Tuna with out strips but meat taste more like Mackerel...the Grouper fish we call [Guttao] we like to deep fry whole yummy with steam rice on side with soy sauce ,lemon juice, diced green onions, and diced hot pepper mix together to your liking for dipping sauce😋.. miss the salt water fishing we did back home on GUAM...love Poke’ also 💯😎🤙🏽🇬🇺❣️ Cheers my friend 🍻

Ya know,,,, you do not have to use the boat motor to troll for fish. You can use the reels to troll with. And when you jerk the lure side to side while trolling, the fish "compete" and you get the bigger, toughest, meanest fish out there.

Okay... I'm jealous. No fishing going on here unless you cut a hole in the ice. I don't know that I would wave a bloody fish in the water around there... you might lose your fish and your hand to some hungry shark. The shark might say, "Sorry 'bout that," but he'd enjoy your hand for a snack. I wonder if hands are on the shark food pyramid? I guess so, fish are on ours... just substitute hand for the fish on ours and there you go... shark food pyramid. I wonder how big hands have to be for them to be legal for the sharks to keep?

He seemed a little perturbed that I had a hook stuck in him and didn't take into account that I was trying to remove it. For his surly attitude, I ate him.
