Had a near-infinite Power run with defect the other day! The heart damaged itself so much that on my turn i couldn't deal any more!

I had an infinite with Ironclad that didn't produce block. Something like 2x Pommel Strike + Sundial... but I had so much HP with Feed (and a pretty good deck otherwise) that I was able to finish off the Heart with 20HP and a Lizard Tail to spare :D

And of course I'll never forget my first infinite ever: 2x Madness with Hologram and All for One. I didn't know until that moment that there were infinites in the game. Magical moment (as a long-time Magic player).

Defect bomb/block infinite, killed the transient in 3 turns. Started off with the bomb from neow, so I started building around it instantly and lucked out with sundial, equilibrium, and enlightenment.

I was going for Minimalist and wasn't going to hit it - took Transmutation as my fifth card right ahead of the Act 3 boss, and it produced a Flash of Steel + Deep Breath for a four damage infinite, so I got Minimalist and Infinite achievements in one go :)

@1:38:34 can anyone explain how a Disarm (-2 str) turns the Heart's 3x15 dam into 0x15? Why is it not 1x15?

The heart's "base attack" is 2x15 which was increased by 50% due to vulnerable. Disarm reduced the "base attack" to 0x15 making vulnerable's damage increase useless.

The way I read deep breath is that the draw cards don’t get shuffled - the discard gets mixed in. So barricade will never end up closer to the top

i refuse to believe that one copy of bodyslam is just "dead weight" - would have come in handy many times and shortened a lot of fights. great run and commentary. :)

The problem is by the time he could usefully use it, he was essentially invulnerable and it wasn't needed, but drawing it early when he couldn't use it could have killed him, given how badly he was scraping by at times.

bodyslam is basically just a "win more" card. If you're getting to the point where it does a lot of damage, you've already won the fight, even without it. Thus, adding it to the deck would mean it's another useless card on the first couple turns which could cause you to have a much worse turn than you would without it. There are certainly decks that would be improved by a bodyslam, but this isn't one of those.

I think getting paid to "carry supplies" aka take a curse that you can drop off at the next shop would be interesting. (I'd say gain 50 immediately and 50 gold on delivery to keep you from cheesing the remove)

Why did the heart go to 0x15 from 3x15 with a -2 str disarm?

@@dwkeirstead Because the Heart was attacking for 2x15, it showed as 3x15 because each hit was being multiplied by 150% due to vulnerable. -2 strength brought it to 0x15, which gets multiplied by 150% and remains 0x15. Vulnerable and weakness can make things look weird because the game doesn't visually show the original attack value which is what gets affected by strength modifiers.
