Outcome: Nobody is above the law by any means. All owners of apartments should always make sure that their tenants have the proper tools they need and should never be subject to racism of any kind. As stubborn as she was to the bitter end, Lisa refused to pay James a dime for repairs. So as punishment was promised, Lisa was sentenced to 7 years in prison for failure to comply. As a result, she lost her house, apartment and everything she owned, which was okay with James. Once he moved into a nicer community and saved up enough money to buy his own house, this motivated James to start his own company so nobody would ever have to live in poor conditions like he did. His business exploded nationwide as time passed

I have a “landlord” just like this. The roof of where I’m living has been a disaster, since we had a hurricane touch down, over a year ago. Landlord has done sweet diddly squat. And when the roof started leaking, and later on, the light in my bedroom ceiling fell through. Ceiling in bedroom has not been fixed, and it’s been going on 2 years. According to a tenancy agreement (I’m in Canada), it says that a landlord is supposed to keep the rental property in a good state of repair and liveable, during the tenancy. None of which my landlord has been doing 😤

Unfortunately "God" doesn't exist -- except in superstitious minds. "God" has been responsible for so much misery, physical torture, and death since the beginning of deism, over five thousand years ago. Innocents have been burned, castrated, stretched on the rack, pressed with weights, and every other means of inflicting pain in the name of a non-existent deity. It was mankind (which includes women) who invented "God" for power, political gain and greed so, everyone had a purpose for "God" not the other way round.

Rental agencies and landlords that don't make repairs in a timely fashion or provide adequate heat during cold winter days are called SLUMLORDS. The term was coined by the late Howard F. Courts and judges don't give a shit about the repairs needed. In some jurisdictions you can put your rent in an escrow account after notifying the landlord of the needed repairs. I've also heard that in some jurisdictions this is not possible. My cousin had no running water and the judge said if you didn't like the place you should have moved, you can't just not pay the rent.

Always take pictures of your apartment and furniture BEFORE you move in abd AFTER it is set up permanently, then your car parked inside it's legal space. And if you report a problem, print out a copy of your report for your records, also, copy and print any conversation with the landlord, or at least write it up right afterward to keep a record of the conversations. And a copy of your security deposit check and all,,ALL,, rental checks. . Alternatively, my Pop bought a 3-2-2 in 1972, lived there a couple years, moved 12 blocks away and rented the house to a young couple. They trashed it in 6 months. After all of the problems were fixed, he rented it to a second young couple and they trashed it. He finally removed them, fixed it again, and sold it. Cost of house was $35,000, repairs over the next 4 years was $16,000, and he sold it for $38,000. So he spent only $51k and sold it for $38k, losing $12,000. Because he rented it. Never rent anything to anyone., you will lose.
