Beautiful smooth growl with super articulate note separation! Love that color too. Great musical choices to highlight as well. Great demo!🔥🔥🔥

Super smooth sounds. Quite tasty. Now I’m always interested in folks opinions on such matters. I understand tone is largely a “sum of all parts” type of thing. But in your opinion is there any difference between NOS wire pickups and modern wire pickups that you personally would attribute to the wire specifically?

That's a great question to discuss. I don't think I'm smart enough to say "I can hear the oldness of the wire". But the older wire does have less consistency and inductance is difference. This ends up resulting in the same wind pattern and number of turns producing a different DCR and variation in sound. That plus the novelty of limited amounts give them the cool factor. This is especially true for people trying to recreate the absolutely closest vintage reproduction instrument without having actual vintage parts. If that makes sense!.
