Bronny it's laid back and a team player and just need someone to ignite some fire inside of him so he gets aggressive on offense and truly shows what he's capable, right now he plays like a shorter but more athletic Lonzo Ball with the potential to be like Jrue Holiday, great to elite defense, good passer, decent shooter, super athletic, it's all about getting him to believe in himself because the talent it's there but gotta unleash it.

Cap... C'mon Gil. Bronny comparable to Bron? Bruh, at the same age Bron was nationally ranked. By 11th grade he would have been the #1 pick if he skipped his senior year of high school. Stop putting extras on it! I like Bronny and Bryce but they aren't on the same planet as to where Bron was in no way, shape, or form- except shooting. They both shoot better than Bron at their age.

College basketball is hindering him in my opinion they just zone and press the entire time and the offense is too over complicated at usc.The nba is more spaced out no full court press at all it’s all about talent and being a star in your role he’ll be better taking that Max Christie spot where he might play in blowouts but gets stronger and learn the game more the first year because college really doesn’t help his game that much, well at that particular school to be fair.

The scouts watching him arent stupid. They can see all the things that Gil is laying out about his game. In truth, teams arent going to want to wait for him to be fully ready to join the league, because it will be far too late for them to draft him at that point. They will bank on Bronny developing quickly in an NBA system over what possibly should happen, which is another year in college for him. Teams have taken hail marys before, like Shadon Sharpe, that eventually payed off, even tho the kid probably should have gone to college for a bit before joining the league.

What he talked about at 1:42 is interesting to me. I just recently started getting into basketball so I’m a casual fan I would say. So is it bad if a player is not selfish enough? I know players like Kobe for example have gotten flack for being too selfish and being “ball hogs” but how does a young player like Bronny and Bryce find that balance?
@ToreyanJones
@ToreyanJones 5 ай бұрын
i would say it all depends on the role you play on your team . if you’re “the guy” on your team you somewhat have to be more aggressive because it can hurt your team if the best player is being passive , but if you have a lesser role you can hurt your team by being too selfish . but if you have a lesser role you still might have to step up depending on how the games going . reading the momentum of the game is important

First off, I used to be a huge Lebron fan. Now, I lost any and all respect and admiration for him due to his sheepish political mindset as well as the NBA being sheep’s in general. But one thing you need to know my man is that what you just described is why Lebron James is hands down the best basketball player of all time. The vast majority of all time greats were specialists at one thing. Very few like Michael, and Kobe, were specialists 2 or 3 things. They were specialists at scoring with their sole goal to kill whomever gets in their way. Then they wanted to completely shutdown the best player on defense because they were great defenders. The stereotypical biased fan will try and make team accomplishments to prove why one player is the greatest ever, it lacks any sort of logical or rational thought. Then they’ll even say that without one single player that team wasn’t good despite their record being top 2 in the division and Vegas having them as a favorite to make the finals without their star player. Lebron James was and pretty much still is able to do every single thing a basketball player can do at a specialist level OTHER THAN FREETHROWS 😂. So as a casual just getting into basketball don’t allow any biased fans to convince you of anything. Real fans are the first ones to admit any and every single thing that pertains to the career of their favorite player along with their flaws and weaknesses.
@joeyjuiice
@joeyjuiice 5 ай бұрын
To answer your question. If a player is hands down the best scorer on a team and that team doesn’t have a shot in hell at winning unless that player tries to score at the best of his ability. Yes, if he’s not selfish enough it could be a bad thing for the team. Kobe genuinely believed that the chance of him making a shot while double or triple teamed was higher than the chance of another teammate making a shot with one defender on him. Kobe legitimately took his teammates Kobe shoes away for playing so poorly he said you don’t deserve to wear my shoes. His mindset was the kind of mindset that modern day grown men who vote democrat and liberal would criticize as being to harsh or bullying because their testosterone levels are near female levels and they don’t understand the mindset of a hyper competitive male who has dedicated his life to his craft at a level 99.9% of the professional athletes in the NBA don’t even have.
@joeyjuiice
@joeyjuiice 5 ай бұрын
Kobe was who he was because of what he did. Unless someone has the evidence to prove they’re better than Kobe then any talk of him being a ball hog lacks any credibility whatsoever. Yes basketball is a team game and yes without a team’s participation you don’t win. Yes if you get your team involved it can very well be a better option to win than one player taking all the shots. But certain players had certain coach’s who had their offenses built around those players and played through them. It really all comes down to the kind of player someone is. If Steph Curry doesn’t shoot numerous threes a night the chances of them winning drop significantly. If Steve Nash doesn’t run the offense and make the passes he did the Dallas and suns teams he was on would have struggled. It’s all relative my man. I was obsessed with basketball but the political bullshit going on has pushed me away from it and more towards my first love of martial arts and combat sports. I hope you can continue to enjoy and be a fan of the sport my man. 🤝🏼

Am I missing something or did Gil refer to a Bronny when he was saying that he does all those things better than Lebron did at that age? Because if I heard that correctly I am in no way in hell saying my opinion on this matter would ever come remotely close to being as credible as Gil’s, but Lebron would have made every single AAU and highschool team Bronny played against look like they were the D team that allowed everyone who tried out to make the team.
@yung2o365
@yung2o365 5 ай бұрын
You missed the part about him playing within the basketball team rules no matter what. But when Gil saw him flip the switch during those 1s, is what he meant by better than him in the moment. It's clear he's a better shooter and dribbler already, with great defense. You just didn't see him drop 40 because as Gil said, his team mindset doesn't allow him to be that. THAT is what he said is the only concern for Bronny. Aka making those teams you referred to looking like D teams.

Only reason we don't truly hold Bronny to Lebron's talent / accolades at this age is because of the sheer talent that's out there now. If you put Bronny on Lebron's high school team you don't think this dude would look 99% the EXACT same as his daddy runnin circles around those bums. Granted bron did play some talent, but you can't tell me bron played people with the same talent, AND attitude as Bronny is facing today. Kind of sounds like the ball bros, Lonzo is athletic, can shoot, high IQ but very laid back. LaMelo is a firecracker with lots of energy, potential and doesn’t give a f what anybody thinks about him.

He said bronny is stronger and faster??? That’s a cupcake lie right there lol bronny struggling to score 10 points rn. Pulling for the kid but yeah Lebron was ridiculously better than his son at their comparable ages. @17-19 Lebron was already a 20 point a night bucket in the nba.
