Really enjoy your videos. I am curious on this boat while you didn't use the rotary buffer and some compound to get the water spots out? Is it because it was ceramic coated and the compound would damage that? Did you go over the whole boat with soap and water neutralize the acid or just the metal parts? I have an older Malibu and I'm just learning how to detail it using your videos so thanks a lot!

You’ll always get a better result if you use a acid to remove the water spots vs buffing. When you buff water spots the minerals come off of the boat into the bad and can life deeper swirls and scratches. So always chemically remove them first. I neutralized the acid with shine supply aftermath before I polish the burnout. On the metal I used soap and water in a spray bottle.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. What are your thoughts on Hot Sauce water spot remover or Babe’s? I have used those but not heard of the one you are using. The Hot Sauce one has some sealant too so shines up pretty nice. Just looking for a recommendation for a wake boat after each use when I put it on a lift. Thanks again. For protection after all of the correction/polishing has been done, what’s the difference between ceramic coating it and using a huge marketed product like Shark Hide?

Shark hide goes in metal. Ceramic is just the best option for protection that we have In industry

You used Shift and Smooth Move as soap on this one. Is this because it wasn’t very dirty and you wanted to retain any protective film that may have been previously applied? Many times you use Super Clean and Dawn. How much of each do you add to the foam cannon bottle before topping it off with warm water? I want to get good foam and want to tap into your knowledge so I’m not just trial and erroring it.

Have you heard of Booyah Clean? I shoukd have used that stuff on some heavy hull stain I dealt with. Totally environmental safe and not as caustic as the acid I actually did use. Either way, wouldn't Booyah Clean get heavy water spots out?

Burn out is an si02 polish. It’s has a mild abrasive with silica for protection. Jescar is just a polymer sealant with no abrasive
