I was never a big GnR fan I was more into Nirvana, what I didn't notice until more recently is just how musically tight GnR were, it wasn't just that Slash was the quitarist and if it was the same drummer all the way through with this band then props to him, the boy can play 🫡 my favourite GnR song is Patience ✌️

One thought always came to mind during that scene with Slash and the woman in the car - Ladies, don’t be that wife or girlfriend who screams or argues or hits their partner while they’re driving. Slash welcomed driving off a cliff with a smile rather than listen to one more second of his girl screaming in his ear 😂 And frankly I would’ve done the same.

Axl’s voice is either loved or hated. I’ve been listening to GNR for my entire life and I’m still undecided haha most of the time I don’t like his voice but I like the song

Axl was doing a bunch of different types of therapy back then. Past life regression type of stuff. All that heavily influenced their albums "use your illusion 1 & 2" and therefore this trilogy of songs. That's why they're so... Trippy. "There's a lot going on" and a lot to unpack.

The name Axl came from the band named Axl he used to be in and he put it together with Rose as he thought it was funny due to Axl Rose being a anagram of oral sex. The song is the first one ever written when GNR formed in 1985 by Axl and Izzy which is about a girl Axl dated who just so happens to be tattooed on his arm and when their relationship ended she told Axl "Dont cry".
