Hope you guys enjoyed this one! Just remembered that I forgot to mention that this trick is heavily inspired by “Crossed Thought” by Daryl! His version is honestly wayy cleaner than mine, but nonetheless I think you could get similar reactions ;)

Another great one! I might change it slightly as I’m still a little weak on my double lifts. I would give them the same number of cards that they chose from the bottom (13 not 12) and then I would count out 13 for me (not 14) Then, in front of them I would select a random card from their 13 and put it into my hand. Ask them what their card was and show how I had magically chosen their card and put it into my hand

Anyway to make the switch not too obvious?
@AMillionCardTricks4 жыл бұрын
Misdirection takes practice, I would say a key factor is eye contact with the spectator. If you ask them a question and look them in the eyes, 90% of the time they will be forced to respond back to you and look back in your eyes. This is when the switch is performed. So something I do often would be along the lines of: “So you remember the card right?” They will look up at you and that’s when you switch packets.
@tuscan524 жыл бұрын
Spread through 52 cards asking them to touch random cards as they go.... out jog each card they touch (Let's say they touch 15).. after that's done show them the cards they selected by spreading through the deck in "neck tie" position (so your eye line is looking at the back of the deck unable to see what they can see..).. as they are deciding what to pick catch a pinky break 14th from bottom (gives you all the time in the world and is unsuspicious)... after they have mentally selected a card close up the deck with cards still out jogged.. kick the out jogged cards to the left and do the Marlo transfer.. (this completely covers the packet switch).. ask them to shuffle their pile... as they shuffle spread through the cards saying "You could have selected any of the 52 at random" catch a pinky at 16th from bottom and pass them to the top.. and carry on with the false count of 15 (really 16) to the table... they now have 14 you now have 16.. hope you like my variation although the method and mechanics are more advanced I would recommend learning these sleight I promise they will serve you well.

I suggest telling your spectator, before you flip over their cards, to think fast, to go with their gut, or something like that. Otherwise there's a chance they might look over a few choices before deciding on which card is theirs, which means they'll see it in the reveal. Nice trick. This is just a little suggestion.
@AMillionCardTricks4 жыл бұрын
Yep! I usually tell people to do exactly that 👍🏻
@BobSandelman4 жыл бұрын
I agree with his suggestion (and your response). If you show them their cards too long, they might try to decide between a couple of cards and then not see the one they considered but didn't choose when they look at their packet. An attentive spectator will see the card not chosen in the final reveal and be suspicious or mention that more than one of their cards showed up in your packet.
