You guys are absolutely correct about blipping the throttle upon leaving the ramp to rotate the truck's nose up. Make sure and save a little throttle when hitting the ramp, so you have some left to accelerate right as the back tires leave the ramp. Also, check the weight balance of the truck, support it from under the chassis by two fingers on either hand at the middle, and see if it wants to tip forward. If the weight balance isn't at least close, you'll be fighting that all day trying to get that nose up. Then it's practice, practice, practice! Keep it up, and you guys will be ramping like pros in no time!

I have this truck and it's so much fun. Unfortunately you're inevitably going to have that linkage pop a lot more as you run it around. For me, the screw head to which the linkage pops on to, also loosens up which flattens the threads inside the aluminium C-block. I've gone through countless C-blocks in just few weeks of running this until I finally decided to use some thread locks but it will pop off no matter what if you bash it hard enough. My advice would be to put on some threadlockers asap and not bash too hard like an xmaxx or something. It is a very pretty truck to look at. Oh and, you can get all the parts for this truck if you look up Helion 410SC parts on Amazon, don't bother ordering them from China, takes minimum 2-3 weeks to arrive compared to just 1week-1.5weeks max on Amazon.

That truck is seriously awesome. I wanna get one, but unfortunately I'm currently fixing my Big Rock that took a crap today. Drove it in some serious mud the other day, hosed it off, and the bearings froze up. I don't believe for a second these things are really waterproof.... maybe through a couple puddles, but not anything serious and prolonged. I wanna say that rubber sealed bearings will make a difference with that, I guess we shall see. Great video!

It is durable and the body is lasting. It takes time to learn to jump them and practice, at the moment you are having to think what you need to do it is not a automatic reflex. Given enough time you will be back and front flipping them with a bigger ramp.

The rear of the truck hops everywhere this is also probably the cause of the ramp problem. A thicker oil in the rear shocks may help. This is all part of racing rc, do some tuning and check your lap times. A lot of racers will spend hours trying different oil, springs, shock mountings positions and tires.

when your jumping the size don't matter. When you hit the ramp hold it wide open. You will find out it easier with 3s battery. the 3s can make the tire spin lot faster to bring up the front end. You know on yr speed run you had the 3s battery in it the tires got a lot bigger . when they does that it will bring front up lot faster. That is a awesome truggy ..
@TheRcSaylors5 жыл бұрын

I have this truck for over a year now, it needs two thing to make it even better. Thicker oil in centre diff to make it accelerate faster, on stock oil specially on loose surface when you gun it front wheels start spinning and not much else happens ;-). With thicker oil more power is transferred to rear wheels and truck starts faster. Second things, if you want to jump this truck, is the metal chassis brace to buy from places as aliexpress . It is made for their Bison truck but its the same chassis and it is unfortunately prone to breaking in the rear section. Apart from that it is an awesome truck that can take abuse.

I always watch to the end. A couple people have suggested to much curve on the ramp. Remember this is a larger truck. Maybe a smaller one would do better. How's the curve on the small one compare to this one. Your dad does build a nice ramp. Need dry dirt for better bashing assessment. Alot of plastic for the price. Good tumbling review. ☺☺.

Ah, Nate & Marshmellow😉, ramping their new truck with an awesomely handcrafted ramp by Nate's dad! Kudos to all of the aforementioned!!!👍😎❤ Maybe some weight in the back and no throttle in the air, might keep it from flipping so much ⁉🤔 Rear wheel drive only vehicles, seem to ramp better for me, than 4X4s... @dannydgeek5 жыл бұрын
I think your ramp has too much curvature. I could be wrong, but it seems that the rise at the end is flipping the back wheels up after the front wheels are in the air.
@bryanbryant99625 жыл бұрын
"I think your ramp has too much curvature." Yes, I recommend making the ramp straighter.
@levibeebe91004 жыл бұрын
Jump hints: if you hit the gas just b4 the ramp and don't let off it will stay level better. If you get sideways turn into the ground so if the left is higher turn right... Opposite direction if the rights high. If the nose dives gas it if the butt drops use the brakes. All of this is done in flight to help level. Your truck can't be going top speed b4 the jump because you need more throttle yet to level it out.
@levibeebe91004 жыл бұрын
It's more important to gas it with a 4wd than a 2wd

Hey guys when in mid air. When truck starts to nose dive control it by giving forward throttle a bit to bring the nose back up. And vice versa when when nose goes up,,,,you have to get used to it. Every truck is different but the principal is the same,,,,,,also put some sort of washer underneath the body posts....good luck....tazzzz

I think that the curvature of your ramp may be preloading the rear springs and causing the flipping issue.
@BananaDucshortz5 жыл бұрын
Yep. Was thinking the same thing. Real nice ramp, but I'm thinking the curve ain't right. 🤔
@joseybarra20465 жыл бұрын
It's not the ramp, as long as the end of it isn't straight up vertical, or going backwards slightly like a backflip ramp, it will be landable. The tighter curvature, the more hang time you will get. They were correct when they said they need more practice at ramping. They need to save a little throttle to goose it just prior to the back wheels leaving the ramp to get it to rotate the nose up. Too much, and you will actually over rotate the vehicle and land on the back bumper, too little and you will either plant the nose into the ground, or even end up on the lid. If you hit the brakes mid air, you can actually front flip it all the way and land on the wheels. The weight balance of the vehicle also comes into play, if it's nose-heavy, they're going to have to work harder on getting that nose up. If it's bad enough in the balance department, they might not be able to consistently get that nose up. Switching to 3S for more power can help, as it will increase the upward pitching moment induced by goosing the throttle, but weight balance is your first fix.
@lanceshinseki24175 жыл бұрын
Hey abbey just between u and I Use the steering duel rates to more than 1/2. Also with no one looking practice using the throttle while in the air. Every car is different due to power and tire size. In the air throttle in neutral. Nose goingdown hit reverse twice as fast as you can. Tail down give it a bump forward really high jumps lay on the throttle till close to level. You go girl. I miss pop-eye. Hopefully he’s good. Love you guys! Hey Nate, your dad should make a few more different sizes and adjustable legs to get adjustable heights and rc saylors logo? Murch that everyone wishes that they had on their channel. No throttle right before it leaves the ramp, then tap forward to land
