Fountain of knowledge. You keep it low key and spill a bit of knowledge from time to time. Just how it should be. You put up truly wonderful tutorials that will have the average Joe baffled. I've been subscribed for about a year now and your tutorials really are informative. You are a great teacher and we are a lucky bunch to get this type of content for free. Thank you x

A really wonderful card change. I learned this in 1979 from Richard Kaufman's book "Cardmagic", on page 80 with the name "A Radical Change", of course, as always with the wonderful drawings by Richard Kaufman. Richard write "It has its roots in the Kardyro Change". Since then I have regularly built this surprising change into my card routines. Greetings from Switzerland
@pppodman3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for adding this note - I learned it from that book as well. (I was about 13.) It's too bad a lot of KZbin magicians don't credit other people's inventions.
@a.brantschen69123 жыл бұрын
@@pppodman It is exactly like that. Magicians like Roberto Giobbio, Harry Lorayne and many others of the "old school" still used it. I love these references, they make me pull out the book in question and read it again. (well, I have a really huge library)
@pppodman3 жыл бұрын
@@a.brantschen6912 I don't have a huge library, but luckily bought some important books as they were coming out in the late 70s/early 80s. I should say, I just noticed that he does have a credit to Cardmagic in the description - it would be nice to hear it in the video, but it's a lot better than nothing.

This would be a nice little beat at the end of the Two-Card Monte effect that happens in the spectator's hands (Paul Harris?). While they're gawking at the changed cards in their hand, it'd be easy enough to setup for this double color-change. "No, see. It's just an illusion... They haven't actually changed to the red queens. That'd be impossible. You've just been hypnotized. (BAM!) See, they're still the black aces."

You can set your video playback to 1.5x speed if you want. Makes way more sense than having him cater his speed to one person.
