I get NOTHING for posting youtube videos.....Google has overtaken the world.....GREED....."The LOVE of money is the root of all evil"......I refuse to become a youtube partner to get money....so Google is posting ad's....do NOT buy anything that they advertise on MY channel......thank you......Jean

Hi dear. You video helped me recall my mother’s slaw. It’s been a long time since I had it and I couldn’t recall the recipe. Your recipe is so similar to hers except that she added radish, no mustard or horseradish , mostly mayo and something called Durkee’s and some Lawry’s seasoning salt. It was so yummy! I’m 70 now and what I wouldn’t give to taste her slaw again and see her shining face across the kitchen table. She’s gone now for a long time, but you brought back beautiful memories of that blessed lady’s cooking. Basic and filling. A son’s gratitude to you! Stay safe!🌹

I loooove the coleslaw that is cut like hair thin shreds like that. It is so hard to get like that here in central Texas. I have it like that at St. Hubert in Montreal, when I visit there. I look so forward to it but just can't seem to replicate it. I am very excited to try this recipe. It is right down my alley! I also love the fact that you use Mayo. So creamy. The addition of the horseradish just seems genius to me! Being Texan I love spicy. I am going to serve this with brisket and I have a feeling I am going to get a lot of friends asking for the recipe! I will call it "Crazy Jean Cooking Coleslaw"! Thanks so much for sharing this treasure!❤️

Love these traditional Aussie favourite dishes we seldom see these days. Found anold Aussie family recipe book fullof theseoldfavourites I haven't had since child hood and beenmaking some ofthem. Like banana and pineapple fritters, banana boats, with the jelly, cream, chopped nuts and sliced peaches with the icecream wafers ontop, to create theboat sails, and the Queensland pineapple kisses etc. They are not the healthiest of foods and hardly calorie free but nice as an occasional treat. Coleslaw is not too bad, though... Nicefor a summer barbecue, though, in Melbourne some like it topping a hot baked potato in its jacket, as a good warmingcold winter snack waiting for buses, trams etc. I do a European version Iwas taught. They shred the cabbage with a Euopean vegie peeler gizmo to get it very fine and then just use a cheese grater, the course section,to grate the carrots, celery and onions. No garlic is used and no sugar. Cucumber or tart green apple is sometimes added, grated. And I have even seensome add grated raw turnip . It's an economical but good food, great for entertainimmg large groups.
