Loved this trip on so many levels. I just lost my dad, my Hero on May 11th. He was an Air Force veteran and was buried with military honors. Growing up, we always went camping in the mountains. I'm all in my feels with this trip. Thank you Quady🙏❤

My sister lived in Colorado Springs and she always told me when I visited was to make sure I brought some sinus meds due to the elevation. It does mess with your sinuses!!!! I use to sit on her porch and just look at Pikes Peak. There is another place we always went to that is called Garden of the God’s. Beautiful is all I can say!!! Thanks for taking us all along!!!!

Hey Mr. CrazyQuady! Awesome video! I graduated from the AF Academy in 1983...saw my old dormitory (Vandenberg Hall) in your video at 25.41! Definitely one of the factors that kept me going those 4 years was the breathtaking scenery surrounding the Academy. Can't wait for your next adventure!

I just spent 3 nights at my favorite State Park that I've been to in NY. Letchworth State Park is known as the Grand Canyon of the East and most years it's rated 1st or 2nd beat State park in the country. Very chilly but relaxing weekend. We have a pop up camper and we're happy that I filled the propane tanks because she needed the heat on. Lots of raccoons and skunks though.

Garden of The Gods and 7 Falls are cool places to visit. The Florissant Fossil Beds are cool too. So many fun places to visit in the Summer in that area, enjoy! Drink a ton of water and go light on alcohol or the elevation will get painful....

I used to live in Golden, CO for 10+ years, Coors Banquet is my go to beer. All of CO west of I-25 is beautiful country and lots of great camping. The AFA chapel is a national historic landmark, the renovation won’t be complete until 2027 though at a cost of $200+ million. AFA has always had a decent football team.

One my favorite memories. My dad was President of the Medical Group Management Association USA back in the 80's. They had a convention in Colorado Springs, lasted 3 days, we spent 2 weeks out there. Beautiful! Almost made me want to join the Air Force ... But I come from Army Vets and joined those ranks! HOOAH! Did Pikes Peak in June, and it snowed... That Cog Railway tested my patience as a 13yo.

My father was the chief information officer for the academy when the chapel opened, we had Easter service in the chapel. We went to all kinds of events, football, hockey, but the most memorable was seeing John F Kennedy give the commencement address for a graduating class. The cadets would throw their cap (?) I still have one from that day.
