Shooters Shoot Out. Ozark Shootout One of the biggest boat racing events in the country. Coolest thing about it is a lot of the proceeds go towards helping special needs kiddos. Good stuff. 💙

I was there but out on the water filming these boats from the camera boat (yacht) and it was an amazing day of adrenaline, but I didn't get any footage for my own production business because everything I was filming was for KRMS TV. I gotta figure out how to be there next year filming for my own company so I can add the footage to my reel. It was an awesome day. I still have blisters from getting sun burnt all over. Really glad you were out there filming this, so at least I get to see the boats like this instead of buzzing by me at 100s of miles per hour. Cool stuff. Also, if you are local, stay in touch. Except for the storm videos, this is my absolute favorite out of all your videos. I would have loved to be there to see the boat races. I had no idea that was even a "thing"--Monster sized boat races! And I'm a car show fan, so I would have loved to wander and see all the cars too. Wow, would ever I love to take a ride in one of those boats!!

I'll be right across the bay later this month, lots of good places to hang out. Boathouse at Village Marina, Coconuts, Docknockers are all fairly close. Hit the pools and grab a Pain in the Ass drink with a rum chaser and chill a bit!

I live about 1 hour from there. My favorite lake in Missouri is Tablerock lake. Crystal clear water. The boats are cool but 1 boat accident did it for me. Trapped and 5 inches of air space.

I've been to the Ozarks in Arkansas and it was Beautiful and I've also been to Fort Smith Arkansas which is near the Massive Arkansas River and I was Railfanning Trains with my Brother at the Time Crazy Quady

I'm familiar with the "U boats" unlimited hydros with the fabulous cranes that lower them into the water. Love hydro races (a fixture out here in Seattle the first weekend in August...SEAFAIR!!!) I've never seen those other boats racing though.

Props are very secretive among the competitors. They don't like to show the prop that they use. They don't want the compitition to know the size, number of blades and the blade pitch angle they use. Most will wait until the boat is in the water to mount the prop so it is underwater and hidden.
