I had exactly same problem and find out, that I have 2 problems at the same time: ISSUE 1 - SD-Card: Mount old screen and flash old firmware like this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/foDagH94qL2rna8 If you Format it Fat32-4096 but get error message like: "update failed and card eventually not fat32 formatted", it means your SD-Card is not readable. Try with another SD-Card. ISSUE 2 - Mainboard: If you succes with Display-Flashing you have to and try to flash Machine. If you do it but still get the same blue screen, you have a problem with mother board. Try to contact with creality or reseller. I get new motherboard from creality and could use with old screen. I reflash with Nebula-Firmware and now works everything properly. To be honest, Nebula sounds good (camera, klipper, vibration sensor etc.) but a lot of people has bad print result with nebula (voltage of some step motors are too low). A raspberry pi with mainsailos is much better solution.

Had same issue, I renamed the .bin file to 123.bin and it worked. (I had issue while updating the firmware previously and this was the solution, So I just tried and it worked while installing the nebula kit)

Did you ever get this sorted out? I also cannot get it to update the print firmware. Tried all the suggestions here and still nothing. Creality support is terrible

I had nothing but issues with the Nebula setup, I swithed back for a about a month. nI had to completely reinstall the .4 firmware. 1. There is a Micro SD on the side of the old screen housing.. Get a micro sd card Format it, and drag the TJC file over only. This will install the old firmware, back into the old screen. 2. Format the regular SD card and drag over the 123.bin. This is the machine firmware. Put in the sd card, power it up and, let it go. I had to do this a few times before it worked. The SD card slot on the printer sucks and will wear out.

Make sure you have the most recent software updated to the ender, then you have to pull the nebula pad.bin file and put that on the physical machine

Do u have a 4.2.7 board or the 4.2.2?

You have to use the micro sd TJC_SET and install the screen first. After which, delete the TJC_SET and copy Ender 3 V3 SE ending in SWV1.0.6_GD303.bin. Unser the SD card and turn on the printer. Hope this is help for you or others having the same issue when you have to go back on the original firmware. All firmware is on Creality’s site.

To retrun to the stock firmware try to downlaod the firmware, change the name of the file an flash the printer; then use the tft file provided to flash also the screen. That should work.

Did you ever get it working? I had a similar issue with the original pad when I tried to update to Firmware 1.06 on the board. As others have said in the comments, renaming the firmware, formatting each time and setting format to fat32 4096 was what worked for me in fixing the bluescreen. The first couple times I tried, it failed. So I rolled back to 1.04 and got it working then installed 1.06 again. I had to use an older micro SD because the newer one I had could not format in Fat 32 so I used an old 32g slow SD card. Now I have the Nebula pad and it connects but having other issues with rough prints. I will probably try rooting at this point.

Daniel i saw your 2 videos and you help me to identify the error this is what i did to fix it, i use a usb and the sd card at the same time, i downgrade the screen to the version 23 and in the sd i upload the firmware of the printer both from the web page you show in the video, start with bot devices plug downgrafe the version and continue qith the instalation menu, but fail remove the usb and start over the process with the sd no work,plug the oeiginal screen and yurn on and did a horrible big bip sound ao turn off ans plug the new screen and how work perfectly

I noticed you still have the SD card in while trying to boot off of the old screen. Make sure there isn't any firmware files on the SD card. If you do have an update, rename it to 123.bin then when it's done just delete the file. You should be fine for the old screen. Thing you need to note though is you can't have any update firmware files on the SD card for the board when you're trying to use any of the screens.

Try a rooted firmware in order to modify the printer.cfg file. I had issues with y axis shifting after switching to the nebula pad. You can then upgrade to the latest firmware from the menu. Another gotcha, from google search, is that you can only use the same name once. Try renaming the firmware file and see if that helps. I feel your pain... but it was worth it

hi! I also have a problem with Y-axis offset when using nebula pad. How did you solve this problem?

Changed the y-axis speed inside printer.cfg file after rooting the nebula pad. It was way too fast. My belt kept slipping on that axis during calibration. It was a hard grinding noise, thought it was going to break the printer every time i did an auto bed levelling calibration. Found the speed setting on google, searching you y- axis shifting.

But not impressed I recommend staying stock until Creality fixes these two major issues first is with the Z axis the printer will ignore the slicers set limitations for the Z axis causing it to skip or Miss layers, causing the nozzle to crash into the print, potentially damaging the printer as well. Also, there’s an issue with auto leveling, causing the Y axis motor to when moving to the probe position due to it trying to accelerate at the same speed as the KE which the SE can’t handle, causing inconsistencies in the levelling data, causing levelling problems and a bunch of other stuff I can continue yapping about, but I give up right now and not impressed paid $150 for this thing and I can’t even use my printer now

If you ever get a chance to report this to Creality support I’ve reported it multiple times and I am trying to escalate this case about the specific issue. I don’t know why they wouldn’t test their product properly before selling it

@@Rome-sr6zp I managed to get it to print properly after Upping all the stepper motors RUN_Current from 0.6 to 0.8
