I got K1 for $452.50, just unboxed it yesterday, got a new iterations extruder and everythings runs great. So far so good.

I own the K1 Max and the print quality wasn’t so great due to tons of ghosting and ringing along with poor first layers due to a bed variance of 1.2mm. I ended up making my own bushing after trying the Creality bed leaving procedure over and over again to get the bed more level. Now it’s at .4 variance. I started using OrcaSlicer and rooted the printer to do proper input shaping. The print quality is ALOT better but still leaves something to be desired since I own 3 BambuLab printers but I needed the larger bed and I’m getting by at this point, to get to this point was a battle due to a ton of quality control issues. For the money I paid I’m not too happy.

Would you recommend running an accelerometer of your own instead of using the built in one? I heard it doesnt do a great job at input shaping, Some people have said they got better results using there own, Thanks
@mikemarucci913 Жыл бұрын
@@meonlyme6262 I did aim6mac’s hot fix input shaping after I rooted, that took care of a lot of it. The problem is Creality only checks 1 axis with this hot fix you can do both. In theory I guess placing a external accelerometer at the nozzle would be better but that hot fix did wonders for me.

My K1 Max, came in just the cardboard box, and as a result the front door arrived smashed. I contacted Creality and they sent a new door, this took about 4 weeks, with a lot of chasing and reminding. I'm not over thrilled by the slicer and printer results. I think I've been getting better results from my CR10s Pro and Simplify3D or Cura, but I bought my K1 for better results for ABS printing, so I hope for better results as the K1 gets dialed in.

I pulled the trigger on the P1S because of your review. I seriously considered the K1 as my Ender 3 has been absolutely bullet-proof since the day I assembled it. The refined experience of the P1S really is the "killer app" on the Bambu side of things and can't be understated. I'm in a much more creative headspace in terms of 3D printing thanks to Bambu where I previously viewed my printers as mostly drone-part-makers, now I want to make art with them. I'm quite looking forward to Bambu's announcement on the 20th....

I have one Great printer just fine tune and go They advertise auto bed level though and it does not It simply creates a mesh and uses that to maintain bed height This seems to work well

What about at the $350 pricepoint that they are at right now?

Slicer software crashes on Linux every second time. Creality does not supply profiles for other slicers. Got errors on calibrating Z axis week after purchase. It is a good printer but the company ruined it by going with property software.

I have a K1 and can say its beem flawless, only quible is the supports in the slicer are a bit shit, i have printed 3kg of hyper pla so far in 3 weeks.
@MadRC Жыл бұрын
Yea with my Gorku that was a slicer issue imo. Overall print results are good. But man it’s loud 😂.
@acevr4 Жыл бұрын
@@MadRC loud would be an understatement, but I love the speed, I have printed heaps of prints I was putting off due to the time on the ender3. Super impressed with it, also creality offered a new hotend, extruder, plan and camera for $2.99 us.
@MrAlucardDante Жыл бұрын
Since it's running klipper, you should be able to adjust the Z-Offset in the printer config, unless creality restrict you from accessing it. But you might also be able to connect to it via SSH, albeit not really user friendly

Must be done with gcode if not rooted in CrealityPrint under advanced in the experimental tab, so stupid…

Hi there… I used to have E-3 S Pro but I found difficult to keep levelling due to my disability and lack of knowledge. So I replaced it by CR-10 SE, until I had the Blob of Death. I reached out to Creality and they are offering me to send me the Hot End/Nozzle Module. While searching I found that K1 is better (No Idea), with Pros & Cons. So, I got the dilemma wondering shall I send the CR-10 SE back for refund and then buy the K1 Speedy (although I would like the K1C) but as I said, I do not have any knowledge on 3D Printing. I am disabled so during my down time I like to spend some time with 3D Printing and to get some videos for my wee channel and gifts for the Children & Family… My question is could you tell me which one would be better for me please? Anyone reading this also welcome to help me out, please (as long as Mads Tech doesn’t mind)… I will be grateful for your advice if I may please & thank you all so very much! Cheers!!! 🖖

Ive owned and loved 5 creality printers, but i cant see a world where i would choose this over a bambu. (same would go for prusa, which ive owned 4). Goodnight sweet prusa.

The firmware went opensource yesterday! big change IMO makes it way more interesting.
@MadRC Жыл бұрын
Yea I added this at the end. Early days but it’s published. However OS alone does not really change anything but hopefully the community will run with it. I don’t believe it changes much for the Klipper dev team.

Those push notifications are absolutely a no-go. Would literally not buy the printer specifically for that reason. I refuse to fork over almost a grand for them to shove garbage in my face.

I do like the Ian from the future - I would like to ask Ian from the future a few question and would be great to have the answers before they become public. I guess I would go for the bambu printer but I will be waiting for them at a sale cause right now they are a bit over my budget just to play around with it.

Here in Australia, the decision is much clearer. The K1 is around $800, the BL is $1265! That’s a huge difference. Also, the huge deal breaker for me is that BL can and does steal your intellectual property! If you’re just making models of Yoda, that probably doesn’t matter but if you’re developing commercial products, that’s a massive deal!
@MadRC11 ай бұрын
I’m sorry but you’re talking total nonsense. There is zero evidence Bambu is doing anything with your STL or any 3D files. They have specifically stated they do not take your files and only have your logs when you share them. Those logs do not contain any 3D files either. There is a lot of total nonsense being posted online right now regarding this. I don’t know how you can say Creality is good and Bambu is bad. Both re Chinese companies and there is zero evidence either is doing anything untoward or wrong.

There is such a thing as being to cheap. By that I mean they focused so much on price, that they ended up with small problems and quirks that add up and becomes real annoyances in the long run. And speaking for my self I would much rather pay a little bit extra to get a tool that I can rely on, and not something I have to constantly thinker with.

i DO NOT recommend this printer. 3 days, 4 prints and all i got was clogging and spaghetti. that's after 13 years of 3D printing. I ordered the upgrade kit and other hotends. sadly Creality are ONLY shipping on the 21st September. so it has been standing for 3 weeks now and i bought a Bambu X1C instead. even the little Tevo tarantula i have is more reliable then the K1. Is it fast? YES - benchy in a fraction of the time... i think 2 benchys and 2 RC car parts and that was it - hotend a dud. maybe in a year all kinks will be sorted BUT don't buy it now!! please. oh and yes, not everyone has had issues BUT MANY have. hit and miss. you roll the dice :)
