The video is fantastic; the multi-color printing K2 Plus indeed looks very appealing! However, its price tag is significantly higher than the traditional Ender and CR series, which is out of my budget. I've noticed FLSUN recently released a new product with a decent price. Is it worth recommending?
@brianamato556016 күн бұрын
You might want to check to see if the diameter of the cardboard spools is smaller than the plastic ones. The circumference around those would be shorter and so when retracting spooling them back up at the same velocity of a larger diameter one he would make it tighter which could be causing your problems

I have run into this on my Bambu lab printer X1C rebuilding the extruder in thehot end. From what I could see from the video you were having the same issue I found. When I’m putting this back together a small steel circular rod 1.75mm the same size as the filler I pull back the cutter and I’ll stuck rod between the got end and the extruder to make sure they stay aligned 100%. I was finding when I did not do this. The lime would be off 1 to 6% and this would cause filament to hang between the intruder in the hot end. When I first saw it, I did not even think about it, but on the fourth time pulling the thing apart I looked real closely before disassembled it and that’s why I noticed it. You gotta be kidding me that little bear is causing an issue. Once I started sticking something in there to align metal or wood, the problem went away..

I watched your review of the k2+ 3D printer and trusted your recommendation, which led me to purchase the product. Unfortunately, I’ve been facing a serious issue-my printer was never delivered, and the company has completely ignored all my attempts to contact them. I’ve emailed, reached out on social media, and even tried their customer support channels, but there has been no response. It’s deeply frustrating, especially considering the significant amount of money involved. As someone who promotes and supports this product, I believe you have a responsibility to hold the manufacturer accountable for their actions. Your reviews greatly influence purchasing decisions, and when issues like this arise, buyers are left feeling betrayed. Please consider addressing this issue publicly or helping bring attention to it. Supporting a product that treats its customers this way reflects poorly on both the brand and those endorsing it. I hope you’ll take this matter seriously.

What allowed cardboard spools to work through the CMS for single spool prints but not for multicolor prints? If you had different colors in all four slots, would you be able to print a part with, say, spool 1, then easily print a part from spool 3 later on with the CMS handling the spool switch?
@ThePrintHouse2 ай бұрын
I *think* the problem for me was the repetitive spooling (either in or out) that's is my best guess. Printing with the cardboard spools single there is a lot of room for error because the printer still uses the buffer tube, that's my best guess. That being said, it doesn't seem other creators had much issue with cardboard, so I maybe I just got unlucky. Additionally, if you print the plastic rings, it would almost certainly fix the problem I was experiencing.

How is the leveling of the K2 Plus bed? My K1 Max bed warps when I heat it to 110 degrees Celsius to print ABS. I would like to know if this issue of the bed warping at higher temperatures has been resolved in the K2 Plus.
@MrHeHim2 ай бұрын
Sometimes after it heat soaks it gets back to normal as the heat evens out as the stresses caused by heat expansion. If you recently got your printer, it will take about 10-20 prints printing in ABS for the bed to find a home and stop warping as much from different bed heat temps. Also, try heading the bed before running auto bed leveling, that gives me perfect bed leveling for ASA/ABS/PC every time. So much so that i never have issues running >0.2mm first layer height with 100% line width on the first layer as well. Side note; I'm using a generic BL-Touch and simply add a Z offset in the start g-code in the settings for the selected filament to compensate for sensor heat drift. I also add a 5 minute wait time for more expensive engineering filaments so the bed passively heat soaks the chamber even better

@andreas.grundler2 ай бұрын
It is largely a copy, but has a number of improvements over the AMS. For example, there is easy access to the PTFE tubes on the underside. You don't have to dismantle the whole unit to get the jammed filament out, as with the AMS. And the cups into which you insert the filament are easy to replace. This is much more complicated on the AMS.

@@darkalleywaystudio3975 My review aimed to be critical of the product because I wanted to avoid being labeled a "shill," which is a common accusation against reviewers. While I acknowledged certain frustrations, I believe the CFS is a high-quality alternative to the AMS. The K2 Plus package does have its flaws, similar to the X1 series from Bambu, which has had two years of firmware updates. In my experience, the CFS works exceptionally well with plastic spools. Troubleshooting issues like snapped filament and jams is significantly easier compared to the AMS. Additionally, the physical construction of the CFS feels stronger and more robust, and I personally think it has a nicer appearance. It’s worth noting that the CFS is priced at $300, which I find surprising, as I expected it to be around $150. Both the AMS and CFS have their pros and cons, and only time will tell if Creality continues to support firmware upgrades for these units to improve their functionality. I believe it’s important to be critical in the primary video, while I can address more niche questions in the comments. Overall, producing a well-rounded video that covers every question viewers might have can be challenging.
