What I can't understand is why so many people think that 70 is old. Times are rapidly changing, people are working longer before retiring, health is much better. I think that maybe 90 years may be considered old in the future. Anyway, some of the best music here you will ever hear from three awesome musicians. I am a great fan, having been brought up in their time and in the same place. Cream for ever!!!

As a classic-rock era vintage person myself, I am so proud of the musicians and the music of my youth---IMO, they measure up to any other generation of musicians, ever. Only the great jazz and swing (and top classical) musicians are up on thatsame raified level. The classic-rock musicans of the 60s and 70s will continue to be a yardstick agtainst which other generations' musicans will aspire to and be measured. It's not the technique that makes them and the music milestones (musicians generally get technically better each generation, IMO). It's the GREAT MUSIC they created, and the passion and devotion with which they gave it to the world, and continue to do so into their advanced age. This is what words like "greatness" and "classic" are all about.

What is it about playing with Jack & Ginger that absolutely brings out the best in Clapton? Am I wrong?
@keli47754 жыл бұрын
ur not wrong. I talk to my friends, Eric is always shy in front of friends who are not his best, but Jack and Ginger make him relax! With them, Eric will use his best skills. Eric didn't have many real friends, so when Eric's best friend died. He will be particularly depressed. For example, Jimi Hendrix and SRV. When Jimi died, Eric said, I was so angry, he didn't take me away.

I was listening to The Beatles as a 6 year old, I forgot about 'em for a while but a couple years ago I discovered them again. Now I'm a drummer, guitarist, bassist and keyboard player with every intention of keeping good rock music alive. Wish they had played I Feel Free at this show though. Love Bruce and Clapton's harmonizing during the verse's.

Always been more of a Duane Allman fan (and, of course, Hendrix) and while I liked Clapton, I never worshiped him like so many do. But get him with Jack and Ginger - wow! They always brought the best out of him (and each other). Great version of an old blues chestnut.
