Worcestershire sauce isn’t sour. Are your ingredients fresh? This sauce isn’t sour, it’s sweet with a slight acidic background note.

@ChefJackOvens4 жыл бұрын
Extra virgin olive oil is used for dressing. I’m not sure what oils you have in the US but there are three basic grades of edible olive oil, and several types within each grade. Extra virgin includes "premium extra virgin" and "extra virgin". virgin comprises "fine virgin," "virgin," and "semifine virgin" and olive oil includes what used to be called "pure olive oil" and "refined oil. The finer grade oils are the best for dressings.

@@ChefJackOvens most Diane sauces I've used include mushrooms though. And no tomato paste. That would completely ruin it for me
@ChefJackOvens3 жыл бұрын
Fair enough. Traditional Diane sauce doesn’t contain mushrooms. The tomato paste is an important ingredient for that deep rich flavour that this sauce produces. If you haven’t made the Diane sauce yourself, the sauce you would of had would contain tomato paste. You can’t taste it as an individual ingredient 😊
