I made this tonight and guys I’m telling you: it’s fabulous! Srsly! I added a little bit more lemon juice cuz I prefer the taste of that zest to be rather strong. I aladded only parsley not chives and it turned out to be great! It’s a winning dish.

As a chef for almost 20 years I love videos like this, especially when they are straight to the point with no bullshit fluff for each step. Quick and to the point, no baked in ad sponsors you gotta skip through, no annoying "WHAT'S UP GAMERS IT'S YA BOY" style intros and last but not least: you've got some nice knives lmao. I made this last night and it was fantastic 👏 I added a half pound of frozen cooked shrimp - added to the sautéed garlic/lemon juice mixture for a few minutes before adding the milk (I used 2% milk with 2 TBLS cornstarch to lower the fat content) and added a couple handfuls of chopped fresh spinach before adding in the pasta. I also substituted fresh basil for the parsley. I took your advice and started with just half of a large, juicy lemon but ended up using the whole thing, which made the dish really "pop"! I perused a lot of recipes for this dish and decided on yours because the ingredients looked just right and was so happy it turned out perfect 😋

No need to be super exact with the ingredient amounts (just watch Jack kinda carefully) and you'll be fine. I did add seared shrimp in the end and used crushed shrimp heads in the sauce, and this recipe accommodated it superbly. Thanks, Chef Jack Ovens!!

Made this recently. First time trying such a dish. At first it didn't taste like much, but about 5 minutes into the meal, the flavors really began to come together and it was good, my wife really liked it. Your recipe basically calls for an entire box of pasta and that was too much for us. Next time we will add it gradually, as about half that amount would have been better for us (we like a lot of sauce and the pasta soaked up most of it). Thank you for sharing and for your clear instructions. Definitely checking out more of your videos.

Artichoke hearts ... that sounds a great complement to this. My friend sometimes serves pasta accompanied by those little jars of preserved vegetables in oil ... peppers, artichokes etc etc and with grilled halloumi. This lemony pasta sounds wonderful .

I love the idea of adding capers and I'd wondered about Artichoke hearts as well. You can have a lot of fun modifying this one.

Made this tonight as a side with a new chicken recipe but I added capers. It was a hit! Definitely going on our regular menu. 🎉 😋

This is a beautiful recipe and I love your teaching style. Just sharing that I finally am able to eat garlic by removing what they call the germ.

Looks so good...and I like pasta served in bowls when possible. So easy and with lemon. Great video! 👍

I love lemon and garlic pasta and this looks delicious! I was taught never to brown garlic and I have to say I agree with that.
