I'm definitely with you...I have no desire for soups when it is hot but I love soup and always look forward to soup season when the weather cools. I canned some of my Tromboncino last year, I'll make a micro batch of this soup since Hubby won't eat any squash. That delicious bread, however...he'd have a loaf of that gone in a day I'm sure. Thank you for being part of this great collab!

I forgot to mention the cheese ladle is obviously a very helpful tool - not only for making cheese, but for using as a spider in the kitchen AND as a wasp-swatter/squisher when needed! LOL And for ANYONE who has a decent length of growing time (and a little space - they do great on a trellis) to grow the Tromboncino, you will not be disappointed! We planted a few, thinking if we could get enough to replace the other summer squash and a few as winter squash, it would be a "win". Instead, we not only ate our fill of the green ones picked "young", we also have gifted several and have many mature ones awaiting use! We contend with kudzu beetles, squash bugs, and squash vine borers normally and had zero trouble from them on these plants!

How awesome a tastie bowl of soup and a lesson on how to bake bread to go with the soup. I have heard of trombino squash but never had the pleasure of seeing it. But it is one of the great things with squash not only to use as a veggie, soup and the seeds can be reused or feed to the animals as well as the peelings. Thank you for sharing your home and recipes. I love it and how to make it soon.
