This is a good start but I wish for those of us who have had a KZbin Podcast channel we had an option to merge and not have the podcast videos cover our videos page and instead of a tab like shorts and live. For now imma stay put but really hope this becomes a separate tab for channels and a way to mark that a video is a podcast.

Does this create an RSS feed like most podcasts have? Is this a podcast that can appear in other podcast directories? Also, most people don't think of podcasts as video. Is there any option for audio podcasts?

Here was my experience, maybe it will help your decision. This account is my main KZbin channel and because my podcast had to do with a different topic and I also didn't want long podcast episodes affecting my overall watch time, I made a separate KZbin channel for my podcast. I was able to make a playlist for my podcast episodes on my main channel from the podcast channel and even though it did allow me to set it as a podcast, when I went into the backend, I see a message beside my podcast videos that says "the video is ineligible for podcast features. This video is not owned by this channel." So in a nutshell, the benefits of this feature alone applies if this is the channel you will directly upload your podcast episodes to or if you make a separate channel for your podcast

What if you upload it on both channels? We uploaded our podcasts until now as normal videos. If we upload them as podcasts, will it affect their the reach? What if our target audience doesn't know about the /podcast tab. Will our videos still be featured on the main page, or are they "banished" to the subdomain?

I noticed the Podcast feature is now available for content creators outside the USA as well. But the KZbin Podcasts page still gives a 404 page not found error, at least for KZbinNL. Is there an estimate as to one this becomes available?

I livestream to KZbin, Facebook, and LinkedIn then take the audio from that live and load it into Anchor for podcasts. That podcast is then pushed to Spotify, Google Podcast, Apple Podcast, Amazon Music, Audible, and a bunch more. What is the advantage of creating a podcast in KZbin studio? Is it only going to be shown in KZbin podcast? Will it be pushed to other podcast platforms? Or is this just for better reach within KZbin?

Well now Anchor doesn't exist, is now Spotify Podcasters, so I think it won't push content to other platforms anymore, just Spotify :/

@@Ailyn Nope. It still pushes content to all major platforms. Plus Anchor/Spotify creates an RSS feed link that you can add into other platforms and it connects to your podcast. Anchor/Spotify will push your podcast there too. It was just a name change. Spotify owned Anchor for a while.

*This not exactly podcast, but I think is a answer to a lot channel combaining videos into a large 10 hours version. With this, I guess, you wont need to reupload everything as a massive long video, you can just use the podcast feature. If this is case, kinda wonky, because of the name, but a good feature.*

So for best practice, would it be wiser to create a separate channel and host podcasts there? Or house it within your main channel with all other existing content? I ask because my podcast content is drastically different from my tentpole KZbin content and podcast episodes have kind of been killing my channel.

If KZbin podcasts also end up in Google podcasts that would be great. Spotify started video podcasts recently so that we can upload videos now. Video podcast available only in Spotify yet it distributes audio to other platforms. KZbin can do the same. Video format available in KZbin, KZbin music and Google podcast and give an rss feed for only audio to users that can be submitted to other podcast providers.

I found the podcast analytics, but it doesn't appear to show how many views were from youtube music or how many from the regular youtube platform. If I am not missing that, it would be nice to see how many watched from each platform and even how many listened as "Audio Only". 3 podcast videos launched! I appreciate the new feature! Will audiogram style podcasts not get the reach that polished, edited, visually optimised videos get? Will it harm a creator to put a podcast up if it's strength lies in the audio content but not the visual?

Great that KZbin is adding more features for creators. KZbin is also a search engine but hopefully with a Twitter like +Quora like type features for more engagements and comments will be picked up by algorithm. Creators/visitors with same interests have the possibility to search each other and network with. More exposure to creators too. Thanks.
