Also, you may have noticed in the intro the animation has a stylistic low frame-rate effect. I forgot to cover this in the video. You can simply apply the 'Posterize Time' effect to your animation composition from the effects panel. You can then enter a desired framerate and it will "fake" the low framerate effect!

This is an amazing tutorial. I'm having a probably beyond easy issue to fix but I've still been banging my head against a wall. For the 3rd one, I followed all your steps but on the last step when I try to animate the opacity it just completely doesn't work. Normal opacity with keyframes does work though. I also created a new text layer with no other parameters and tried it on that one and it didn't work there either. Any chance you know what I missed or am doing wrong?

Yes if you add Source Text property to Essential Graphics . Then on the right hand side click Edit Properties -> Enable Custom Font Selection

This is great! I've watched this multiple times! What if I wanted to create a lyrics video which had multiple words that did different things. Say for example a word which then rotates left and another word shows up. Could you use this method for that as well, so you could paste in 5 or 6 words? Thanks!

2 ways I can think of. Multiple range selectors each targeting one word, and animating different properties. OR multiple text layers, with source text of each added to essential graphics. Then animate each separately. I can't think of a way of doing it dynamically without involving scripts I'm afraid

You can add a motion background simply by putting the layer behind the text layer ! Yes you can change the colour and the font (but for some animations you might have to tweak the spacing / tracking depending on the font

Make sure you are changing the text as an ‘essential property’ from the drop down. Don’t go inside the comp to change the source text. Does this help ?
