This is by far, the best "cut to the chase, detailed here's how we do what the video title says" video that I have ever seen. No 10 minute intro speech, just a brief overview & let's get to it. I have always assumed that a lot of video creators put all of the extra speech in there hoping to have more ads placed. The ads and the wasted time get old quick. Another option for some of what I saw here, for people who do not have the software shown here would be to use the Detune effect if you have detune. Detune is often seen in guitar effects. It can be placed on different vocal or guitar tracks and set differently as was saw here for each track. The altered melody and harmony effects would stll need to be done with Melodyne or something similar.

Hey you American guitarist, (my real love-I have 16 of them!) I really appreciate your comment. I'm still new to this video thing, and still learning, but a comment like this is insightful into what viewers want. And thanks for the great advice on using the Detuner. It's a great tip!!! If I were producing this track I would insist on finding some way to get real singers instead of falsifying it like that. it just doesn't sound good. But it's nice to see a tutorial video were people don't waste half of their time chatting about crapped that don't matter. You get right to the point. That's great.
@JaySpangler4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. It doesnt sound as good as having a talented singer find an interesting part and resonate with the other voice in a pleasing human way... let alone a group of them. Stacking real harmonies sounds nothing like this. Its one of those fast food fixes that technology now makes possible, but should be avoided for the real thing, pretty much at all costs in my opinion.
@mystirboy4 жыл бұрын
@@JaySpangler It really depends on use case. If you want to showcase the singer then do that but if this is some type of ambient/dance club track, then having that "fake" feel to the voices can actually be useful in evoking the right "feels" in that context.
