Your videos help me so much. As you know, I just got into the art of Bonsai, so these videos help me a lot. Keep up the great work!!❤

Great tutorial! I learned a few things! Especially with all the fibers. Most I see use power tools! Thanks for this Jelle!

Perfect demonstration on creating deadwood. I also liked how you didn't apply lime sulfur right away as I to also like the wood to age before applying but also when the wood is wet the lime sulfur is much less effective and the deadwood can not absorb the treatment efficiently. Nice bit of material to work on to.

Absolutely agree. Pointless applying lime sulfur on wet wood and allways best for it to weather for a season atleast

Another excellent tutorial with a great piece of material for the demonstration. Do you have a preference for when you do this sort of work and is there a time of year when you should avoid doing this :)

please don't use lime sulphur we have many wood preservation products that don't make the wood white and flat, check at normal stores that sell wood consolidant with anti-fungi
@kennethstensrud6698 ай бұрын
If you feel it will be too white, just add some India ink to the solution of lime sulphur. Makes the wood nice and silvery gray white.

@@kennethstensrud669 or just use a transparent one and don’t mix stuff risking to fuck up all ageing natural colour

I have a video on rebuilding a juniper set for release I think in February, where I show the use of ink to tone-down the lime sulphur. Also, one can dilute the lime sulphur and it will stain it less.

Ia kind of not sense the lime aulfur issue....other sxhools have told me that bi no means , dead wood will really be if it's not very white...is ridiculous because best of my trees get black and red when dead..(Fitzroya cupressoides and eucriphia cordifolia for example...beautiful trees) I don't kill wood, I just use hal dead wood or tanuki

I also use non-bonsai tools instead, because they are quite cheap and good to use 😅

Hm.. dentist tools are not particularly cheap here. But really great to work with
