i managed to resize the tail to my preferred size (the tip and base).... but you need a hecka strong computer

Before you zoom in (reduce the size) please set the subdivision lever 0

Wouldn't it be easier to unsubdivide the tube or poke it's faces and instance the scale? Faster and easier

6:00 You can arrange modifiers exactly how you want them by dragging. Hold the mouse down over those rows of dots on the right and just drag.
