Create Stroke Effect in After Effects

I got this idea for tutorial from one of my subscribers. I think this technic looks really interesting. In this After Effects tutorial i'll show you see how you can create cool animation with stroke. You can make practically any logo or image with alpha channel with this technic. I hope you will enjoy.

to those who are watching this: Instead of scaling, you should have used an offset path for the shape instead of scaling it. Scaling is relative to the center while offset is relative to the original stroke. Also, remember to place the trim paths below the offset path or else it will weird out

I get a different thing in my comp that's called auto-traced (name png) what to do? It doesn't creates a mask :(

But anyway you have a mask on this auto-traced layer. You can use this mask. Btw when you clicked on "Auto-trace" you can see a small window with settings. Just uncheck "Apply to new layer" and press OK)

after copying the MASK PATH You have to make a new SHAPE LAYER then use your pen tool to make a point then you can paste your outline .. and the stroke will appears also you have to ensure that the stroke layer isn't hidden GL :)
