A friend recently asked what tutorial to use to learn Maya, I'm a Blender used so I had to find some nice tutorials for Maya beginners. It's the first time I realized just how many really good FREE tutorials there are for Blender. Now we have reviews of paid Blender tutorials! This is awesome! Time is going to show the power of this community, In a couple of years blender is going to dominate the market imo. (Of course the first thing i suggested my friend is to learn blender instead of maya, but he is learning it to get a job, and maya is still a stronger point in his resume)

I was VERY disappointed in this course. It is really just an art course, and you're not going to build that car they show. You will get to see it built, but I didn't expect to pay $50 to just watch someone make something. Might as well watch a free time lapse video on KZbin. Maybe the problem was my expectations were high for this.
@likestech18733 жыл бұрын
The Wingfox videos for stylized Blender to Photoshop training are way better than this. The Wingfox videos walk you through everything and you can follow right along.
@JT111113 жыл бұрын
@@likestech1873 it should be pretty obvious that they wont teach you how to make that car, but its more focused on stylising the final product, i think if they taught you how to create the car then it would encourage you to not be creative on your own and its bad practice, idk tho im still waiting for more comment reviews to buy as it is expensive for me, this is just what i gathered from what people and grant have said

@@JT11111 There’s a 30% coupon for Wingfox courses that Grant Abbitt highlighted in his recent Wingfox review. There’s a couple of really good courses that teach stylized blender art projects that you can actually follow. They are both taught by current, professional concept artists that are making stylized art for film and videogames. You will learn just as much about being creative as the Creative Shrimp course, and get hands on experience.

I think one of the biggest things you didn’t mention here is how unorganized the videos are and the file names are pretty confusing. After stopping and going back I have no idea where I left off either because there’s no course progression like udemy or other sites. I’d wait for this course to go on sale though because it still teaches some great techniques. Sorry for being harsh maybe it’s gumroad’s file organization and not the creator.

I used to work for an award winning studio, 'Eye Animation' in London and this is very like their style, all about concept and bugger the tools. Disney's 'making of' videos never show any software, its all concept and art, which is what its about. YOU can draw like someone in the 1940s, what pencil or desk they used is unimportant and had no bearing on your enjoyment of Sleeping Beauty as a child did it?! :o)

Course look fantastic and you are one of the best teachers on youtube/udemy. if u can publish this course on udemy, i'm gonne buy this. But i live on turkey and 60$ about 530 TL. that mean a lot. 2800 is min salary. Can i suggest you somethink? udemy makes localization, that mean we(poor country folks lol) can buy these too. i think you can make little video series. like, i have tablet and i'm trying sculpting, i can sculpt characters, and ogres(your course with game.dev hehe) and these sort of thinks but i really dont know about dress and probs. and i cant find any good course about these. like, i can make a 3d man/woman for fps game. and he/she gona need changeable clothes. player pick something on ground etc. and i have no idea about this. how can we make good clothes? i think you can make these series. and please publish on udemy.
