This would fit in so well with the royal succession arc. I can imagine L being a prince's bodyguard and yeah I also think he would be more sadistic or be really apathetic to the suffering of others kinda like Ulquiorra or Starrk from Bleach. Just "I'm doing my job type guys" I'm glad I finally found a channel that actually has good ideas for vids it's kinda hard to see this level of creativity in the anime YT community

Technically L already has his own human ability and that’s a finite intelligence increase, that’s why watari adopted L, he saw potential. If L wanted a superpower it would be to boost his intelligence, that’s why he told misa and light he controls his diet and sits a curtain way to not grow dumber. And the only thing that drives L in life is his intelligence

@@anime_world6684 why would he create an ability for that when he already has that? Would it not be the “intelligent” choice to create an ability that compliments his intelligence. That would be like killua creating a hatsu that makes his hands sharper since he already can make them sharp

@ the difference between L and killua is that killua choice an ability easy that contrasts with his immunity to electricity. He choice an ability to combine with immunity which had no weaknesses. But L would do anything to become smarter, like every human that reads books to grow their knowledge. Your right tho it makes no sense to get an ability that he already has that’s why I don’t agree with the liar ability because L already is skilled in psychology but he didn’t make his life goal a psychiatrist, he’s a detective the greatest mind on earth Kurapika’s life has been determined with passing judgment on to true evil like a shinigami so his ability were chains. Ging’s life has been determined with getting anything that he doesn’t have at the moment so his ability was coping abilities. Gon’s life has been determined with having that childlike mindset that life is whoever wins the game and becomes king of the jungle so his ability is rock, paper, sizers the power to dominate anyone in one attack despite hxh theme of complex fights not determined by who’s stronger. Sorry for the long comment I just wanted you to put yourself in L’s shoes. Does L give a shit about justice and truth or win the battle of pride. His hatsu would be connected to how his personality interpreted his childhood and how his life energy should be shaped. And I say intellect

@ the long comment isn’t an issue. I create these videos so we can have discussions. I interpret L as someone that wants to catch dishonest humans, in other words, criminals. So creating an ability that would work for his occupation is what I wanted. Imagine L in the interrogation room and he conjurs a little beast, he then asks you a question, if you lie the beast will attach itself to you. Boom case closed, his conviction rate would be perfect. This is a perfect ability for the world’s greatest detective. No one can lie to him. L is good a psychology but not good enough, in the end he could never prove light was lying, which is what lead to his death. With this ability he would have beat light pretty fast Also, Ging’s ability is not copying, he specifically stated that it was not his hatsu and that’s it’s just something he is capable of. Most likely due to the fact that he is a genius in nen control.

@@Trizzer89 but L is already naturally intelligent so wouldn’t enhancing his intelligence be pointless? Komugi is dumb naturally, but when it comes to gungi only, her intelligence gets enhanced. There would be no point to enhance L in that way right?

@@KiteKosmicL is obsessed with challenging hius intelligence to make himself smarter, that's why he became a detective iun the irst place. He refuses to do anything I it doesn't have something to do with his mind for example, he doesn't wash himself, sits a certain way to increase his intelligence, skips sleeping to solve cases, etc. If he had Nen he would definitely find a way to make himself smarter.

@ I hear you, but I don’t agree. L does all the weird stuff to increase his deductive abilities, not increase his overall intelligence. In a world where magic powers exist and L’s profession is to catch criminals, I don’t see an intelligent person making the choice to further increase their intelligence when the better choice is to create an ability that helps them apprehend suspects, or protect themselves. Any offensive ability really since that’s the only thing L lacks. Plus, if we go off of what his affinity would be, he would likely be a conjurer or a transmuter and neither of those really have the ability increase intelligence. Komugi is an anomaly. She unconsciously created her nen ability based on her love for a game. L is not an idiot like Komugi, so he would actually be aware and meticulous in the creation of his hatsu. L also studied martial arts. The big issue is I think yall are confusing L’s pride in his deductive skills for pride in his intellect. If L continues on his path as a detective which he 100% would, he will run into some of the most dangerous and powerful criminals, and creating a Hatsu that increases intelligence to respond to those dangers is about the most idiotic thing you can do imo
