Internet Comment Etiquette with Erik does more writing for his, but not usually as much VFX work, though he has. The ad that comes to mind is one that he released on its own called something like "This is Literally Just an Ad" where he did some crazy wizard shit. Also just a great show that I think would appeal to fans of this channel, though I never thought about it

Briana is still settling in to her on screen persona it seems. She is funny, but it’s an odd mix with Rex and Daniel. This stuff really responds well to keeping it at a lower temperature (65C or so) for a period before going into a full blown distillation. Also I like to call it "Honnessey" for its sweet flavor, close proximity to Brandy, and of course the puns. I've been experimenting with this stuff with my dad since I was a kid and I'm so glad to see someone attempting it on a larger scale. Love you MBs

any advice on temps to distill mead? starting ABV? time to age prior to distilling?
@calebscoles7522

@@tylerstout1549 just for it’s value in yield. Letting it go for about 4 weeks to get that ABV north of 10 works really well for me. Shooting too high ABV can cause problems normally, but mead seems pretty resistant to it, that big bright honey flavor will almost always come through.

A mead made with grape juice is a pyment. There's nothing complicated about it, it's just a name like a beer made with an ale yeast is an ale and one made with a lager yeast is a lager. The blending after the fact of fermentation is not typical, but I think it still qualifies as the result should be essentially the same as if the honey and grape juice were fermented together. There should be no fear regarding the sulfites. The fact that the mead sat with so much head space should have allowed the sulfite to combine with oxygen. And splash racking the mead will also neutralize sulfites. 10:45 It is brandy. If you're thinking that it isn't brandy because it isn't all distilled grape wine, just remember that Calvados is a brandy distilled from apple wine. Distilling mead, a honey wine, blended with muscat, a grape wine, makes a brandy.

Hear me out..... cut the run of emma's that everyone liked, with the OG mead/morat/wine mix. You'll get the nose from the mead to fix up the lack of floral from the stilled liquid, along with the the heat, flavor, etc of the liqour.....

This reminds me of Metaxa... but with mead. I don’t like brandy or cognac, but Metaxa is definitely a tasty muscat distillate that does well with traditional caskings and the added botanicals

I have one can left of white wine that was "polluted" by Honey bee's during the wine making process. This can is from MJK's winery in Arizona and it's called Queen B. It has a mead like taste.

Sulfates are used to stop Mead fermentation. We use metabisulfate on ours. Excellent point, they are possibly present.
