In this beginner tutorial we're going to go through every step of setting up a short domino run animation powered by Blender's physics engine and rendering in using Eevee.

Beautiful tutorial. You explained everything from modelling to rendering. Your pace and method of explanation in good. You are one of the best Blender teachers on KZbin. I am highly looking forward for more such videos.

That was really nice thanks for sharing it. I have a suggestion about this project you could have filled the cup with water so that it could be better than this. So, can you please make a tutorial on fluid animations
@BespokeCube3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Fluid sims sound interesting, especially since I haven't even looked into them myself ;) Will try to research and incorporate into future tuts.

I am a Blender beginner and wanted to get an idea of what the physics simulation can do, but I learned much more about working with Blender. Very well explained. One question: why do you have to "Apply Object Transform" all the time after rotation and scaling?
@BespokeCube3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the feedback! Regarding the application of rotation and scale, it just ensures that Blender is aware of the changes made to the object and can adjust physics parameters accordingly. Here's a short explanation from the Blender manual: docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/physics/rigid_body/tips.html#scaling-rigid-bodies And a longer explanation with examples from Stack Overflow: blender.stackexchange.com/questions/7298/why-is-it-important-to-apply-transformation-to-an-objects-data

Great tutorial! I am struggling with how to animate the last domino after it falls in the cup. I wanted to have it jump out at the end and do some animation to it but it seems that the physics is stopping me from animating it. Any suggestions?
@lolatomroflsinnlos2 жыл бұрын
You can bake the physics to turn it into keyframes and then delete some keyframes and replace them with your own to animate the last part.

Thanks for the tutorial, everything came out perfect except for when I render the animation at the end the render goes so slow, how do I fix this?
@BespokeCube3 жыл бұрын
You're most welcome! Regarding the speed of the final animation, I would double check if the frame rate is not lower than 30, the scale of objects is similar to that in my tutorial (and all the object scales are applied with Ctrl + A) and that the Speed in Scene Properties -> Rigid Body World is set to 1.5 or more
