as for the deleting and re-adding mirror modifier, you can simply check uncheck the boundary after inset.

This shouldn't happen if you press I just once, but try pressing I twice to see if it works.

When you first press e to increase the surface area by one space, you must do it as a surface. If you increase it as a point or line, the inset surface will be set later.

How did you split the faces in 38:31

I extruded them separately, but because I pressed the Esc key, they stayed in the same place, so I selected them both and moved them. This may have caused the illusion that I extruded them together. Initially, this was supposed to be a series of tutorials on how to completely create a wolf in blender: modeling, unwrapping, texturing, hair particles, rigging and animation. But I was waiting to see how well the first video would do on youtube to create the other ones. The video is getting some views and the channel is getting some subs, but the numbers are still ridiculously low and growing very slowly. So to answer your question, I may eventually make a texture tutorial, but the amount of work and time that goes into doing even a single video like this one is way too much when compared to the visibility (subs, views, likes) the video/channel is getting. That said, the first thing you should know is that it is important to unwrap a mesh before creating and applying the texture. So the next video will probably be Unwrapping, only after that we will go to the texturing part.

He's just starting out, and it's normal given it's in the early stage. Like you said his content would thrive amongst 3d communities and I definitely would share too, anyone would recommend, but expecting the first content to be a hit doesn't really work, everything is about growth, slow and steady, he's studying and seeing how things work too, another thing is to study KZbin's algorithm. With the reviews and likes plus the subscription that follows off a video, KZbin will continue to recommend the video and channel. That's how it works , so the more the contents are shared and people come to see the more the channel grows but trust me anyone who sees this will definitely want to be a part.

I came from lightwave and modeler had a grab and move tool, I wish this was in Blender it allowed for quick modeling

Most (if not all) 3D software has a grab and move tool. Blender is no exception, you just don't see many people using it because it is better (and quicker) to simply use one key to grab, one key to rotate and another to scale, you just need to get used to it.

Thank you. I will eventually do more tutorials in the future. The channel is still at an embryonic stage and it does need more people for me to look at it more seriously and try to take it to the next level. Believe me, I would love to do this as a full time job, but right now that is far from being possible. Ultimately, this channel depends on the people to grow like all other channels do. There are some comments of people asking for more videos and that seems like a start to me, so yes, I will do more tutorials in the future.

It's a little harder to model it, than acquiring it for free, but in the end it's more rewarding, if you can learn something from it.

You don't need to split the toes. They are never joined together to begin with. If you pay atention, you will notice I extrude the toes individually, but because I grab and move them together, it might create the illusion they are joined together, but they aren't.

HELP I SERIOUSLY MESSED UP!! I was doing the middle part of my paws, and idk what happened but the two parts aren't separated!! I can't make the little space between them. Anytime I try to split or something, one of the toes is missing the inside part!!! BTW, I can't re-do any more and when I dissolve, the part that the big toes were connected to is only one part. IDK how to fix this, I'm not a brainiac with blender, just... Really good at following tutorials and learning.

NVM I FIGURED IT OUT- At least maybe... I selected all the vertexes and then selected: Make face out of selected edges. It worked and now they're together, but I would still like ur explanation for what you would have done, as a seemingly professional :)

​@@killduwabbit-c2d1Glad you figured it out. When something goes wrong while modeling, there's always a way to fix it, so there's no need to worry. I advise you to save multiple files while working on your projects. You can save files with the same name and increase one number for each new file. This way, you will always have plenty of files to recover if necessary. Also, remember that when modeling, there are multiple ways to achieve the same result. It's hard to understand the problem with just this, but my guess is you have proportional editing turned on. Maybe you accidentally pressed O and turned it on. Press O again and see if it turns off. Other than that, it's hard to guess without seeing it.

If you are talking about the tutorial, unfortunately I don't have it available. If you are talking about the 3D model, it will be available on my website for sale next month. I used this model to create some kind of zombie dog and hellhound that you can find both on my website (vmulti.pt/categoria-produto/3dmodels/ ) and on turbosquid (www.turbosquid.com/pt_br/Search/Artists/VMulti ) The rigged wolf with the fur is already finished, but because I created different textures, like gray wolf, black wolf, white wolf, etc. I am still rendering it. As for the rest of the tutorial, I still plan on doing it, but I will only work on it after putting the 3d model on sale. The good thing is that you will be able to see the final result earlier.
