What a nice treat to get to watch your video now that we have power back on! We have survived hurricane Ian, no house damage and power and internet now back. Outside clean-up done, sooo tired which made watching a good rest. Think I may try a mini table top and /or a window using some ideas I have after watching :)

Great video! I am getting ready to make doll shoe sole molds using chip board and was going to use UV resin to seal it before pouring the silicone over it. However, I wanted to check in with you first to see if you were able to determine if the UV resin did indeed react to the silicone and made those bubbles on the sides of your mold. Appreciate any information you or anyone else would like to share regarding my question. Thank you!

@@SunnySunFlower65 yes don’t use UV resin! It releases gasses that make the bubbles in the silicone - so for a quicker shiny surface I’d use a gloss varnish before moulding, if you have more time and patience use regular two part resin 😁👍🏻

This video has been so helpful!! I have been eyeing up getting a Cricut for months and this video may have made my decision! Did you ever discover what caused the bobbling?
@SpellboundMiniatures2 жыл бұрын
Not yet! But I’m going to redo this method with a Christmas version so I’ll see how that one goes 👍🏻🤩 I think it may have been the fact I used resin on neat chipboard without sealing it with pva first 👍🏻 so the next time I’ll seal it first 😁

I have since discovered that the bobbling was a reaction between the silicone and the UV resin I used on the edges - apparently it doesn’t like uv resin but is fine with epoxy 🤓👍🏻

Hello, Do you have a link to the blank sheet?
@SpellboundMiniatures2 жыл бұрын
Hi it’s Cricut heavy chipboard - depending on where you live you can get Cricut supplies in hobby stores and on Amazon (or even direct from Cricut in the US 👍🏻) 😁

Also there’s a link to it in the description box below the video 😉 just click the down arrow/triangle thing 👍🏻

Good day, I also live in Spain, there are some online stores for crafts...Also, being in the EU you can buy stuff from other EU countries and don't have to pay customs. I've done it a few times.

Oh please let me know the names of the online stores for crafts 🤩👍🏻I still mostly use Amazon and can often find things on the German Amazon that I can’t on the Spanish one 🤓✨✨✨

What is a drewsy?

Hi Teresa, a druzy is a collection/layer of smaller crystals on a surface, so it looks like lots of facets reflecting light 🤩✨✨✨
