Thank you Matt. This was so much easier than using photoshop.

Thanks Matt. I photographed the Oct 2023 annular eclipse I am currently going through your Lightroom Local course and would like to know if Lightroom Local will handle making an eclipse composite the same way your video showed for Lightroom.

I have never used the print module. Thanks Matt.

Thank you so much for this video. I am actually a beginner photographer, so I haven't employed all the technical stuff I probably should have when photographing the eclipse. But, still it would be nice to put what I have together. So, thanks again. I just subscribed to your channel, so I'm hoping I'm going to learn more stuff!

Matt, I had an unrelated thought and a question when watching this. Can you add a border to an image such as a white border using margins in the photo module in LR and then save as jpeg? I usually go to PS to create a white border around my images that I will post on line but wondered if there is an easy way in LR to do that?

I get a vertical, white page when I create my background. How do I get a horizontal with black background?
@jimstadler8 ай бұрын
got the horizontal down, still white background

I'm not a fan of using the print module, but this is cool!! Thank you!

Very helpful. When I have 12 boxes, I can only drag to the outer 4 boxes on each end. The middle four will not take the photo.

I cannot get past the "page setup" section. It does not offer me a "manage custom sizes" option" and even if I select "custom", it will not let me input 60", 8.5" is the maximum I can find on the page setup for custom sizes. After that, I don't know about the issues with the background color or not being able to drag all of the photos. I cannot get that far. Does anyone have any other options? I have never used Lightroom before and just downloaded a trial. Thanks!

I'm running into the same issue. Matt's screen shot has two buttons in the lower left "page set-up and "print set-up", mine only has 1 "page set-up" and it I can't find a way to set the page to 60" x 10" (or similar numbers). I'm using the Windows version of LRCC.

bryan holliman same exact issue here. Could it be a different version? His post is recent so it doesn't make sense. Do you have other suggestions?
@bryanholliman37637 жыл бұрын
Matt is using the Mac version of LRCC, I have the Windows version, maybe that is the difference? I spent another 20 minutes last night experimenting with different settings to try to get the page set-up wide enough to follow Matt's technique, but no luck... I may have to use PS to put together my composite.

OK, thank you. I have Windows. That must be it. What is PS?

Sorry, short for Photoshop. Unfortunately, my Photoshop skills are pretty weak, that's why this Lightroom process was so appealing.

nice idea but does not work in my version of LR. all I get is a white page with blue grid and I am unable to select any page size. Do you know how to fix this? I think it has something to do with the printer driver used?
@anticsofahusky7 жыл бұрын
I figured it out. I had to select a PDF writer for my printer and do a advanced setup on the printer page.

when I go to the Page Setup and try to manage custom sizes, it gives me sizes in milimeters. How do I change this to Inches?

Ok, I did. I don't know how many people you have joining but thank you. I have done everything I can think of with the photos and they just don't come out the way I would like them to. All the photos are in raw and I know I sent a lot of them but I wasn't sure which ones to send or not

Matt Kloskowski will you be offering any more tutorials. Many of us seem to be running into the same issues. Thanks.

Unfortunately this cannot be done in Lightroom 6! There is no option for a custom paper size, they are ALL preset!!
@MattKloskowski6 жыл бұрын
Mark Riley hi. There is an option. Been there since LR1. Depending on OS you may have to poke around for it but it’s there
@billmeador2157 жыл бұрын
Nice idea, but does not work..........no matter what I do I cannot get a black background, everything is white with light blue grid lines on it............got some great shots, but guess getting them in a strip with LR is not gonna happen!!!
