In your Facebook ad/video you create a great stencil, "Your only limit is you". This is an awesome quote!! Why is it not offered in your free artwork on your website?? I know I would make it my first project when I get my kit!!! (I loved the video of doing it on a black canvas with multiple colors!) Could this be added to the free art?

This is so cute..what is the difference between chalk paste and chalk paint
@ikonartstencil Жыл бұрын
Thanks! The difference is the consistency or thickness of the paint. Chalk paint is thinner and great for painting backgrounds. Chalk paste is thicker and great for getting crisp lines when stenciling ☺️

can you tell us what you were drying the stencil in?
@ikonartstencil3 жыл бұрын
That is the Film Dryer that we sell on our website. You can also use a food dehydrator or hair dryer or let air dry.

What kind of sealer is recommended if you want to keep the design permanent?
@ikonartstencil3 жыл бұрын
Depends on your surface and if it’s gonna be inside or outside, but a clear spray sealer works (like Rustoleum)

What if you tried clicking “borderless printing” do you think that would help the image being cut off on the film? Just a thought, haven’t tried it..
@ikonartstencil3 жыл бұрын
Depends on your printer. Some support borderless printing and some don’t.

Hello! Do we need to have a bigger size printer to print this size of stencil?I already have it and used It on on regular size but I really need bigger stencils.
@ikonartstencil3 жыл бұрын
We sell 11x17 printer film. If you don’t have a printer that can print that size, you can combine two 8.5x11 printer sheets.

Hello this is amazing! My question is can I use the stencil film you are using here for fabric/material, OR do I have to buy the textile film? I guess Im asking can the films be universal? Thanks for making these videos, as Im very visual person! :)
@ikonartstencil3 жыл бұрын
The purple is easier to use on fabric because the mesh is sturdier and the adhesive is a little stronger, but the blue can be used on fabric too

Question, can I use dish soap when cleaning stencils?
@ikonartstencil3 жыл бұрын
The only one we recommend is Dawn or something very very gentle without a lot of chemicals in it, which can break down the emulsion on the stencils faster. Definitely do not use Clorox wipes or anything like that.
@angelanieuwenhuis63443 жыл бұрын
@@ikonartstencil thankyou. Yes I would only use dawn

Can the printed film be reused to make additional stencils?
@ikonartstencil3 жыл бұрын
Yes as long as it’s the same image. You can’t put a new image on the printed transparency.
@clareharper67663 жыл бұрын
why did you mirror it on a inkjet? I thought that was for laser printer? thank you!
@ikonartstencil3 жыл бұрын
Mirroring is optional for both, but when I have very fine details like the distressing I find my details hold better when I mirror. I actually mirror everything because it just became habit for me. That way the darkest part of my artwork is touching my stencil film when I expose.

How many time can you reuse your stencils?
@ikonartstencil3 жыл бұрын
We generally say 10-12 uses but have customers who get many more than that. Check out our latest video to see me make 17 shirts in a row with 1 stencil.
