For me personally the process of playing modular synths have always been visually reminiscent of running a nuclear reactor - looks awesome, but also gives me really spooky associations. It adds a lot to the blood chilling atmosphere you have created. Totally RAD performance!

Love listening to this and a lot of similar stuff, like Kelly Bailey's ambient work, or Joel Nielsen. Wish there was more stuff out there like this where you explore the creation of it. Would love some theory even about what kinds of sounds and characteristics work best.

Hey, Thanks for watching! I have an album up on Spotify actually :). It's not quite the same "Dark Ambient" vibe but I'd love for you to have a listen! here's the link: open.spotify.com/album/0qNDbXBjPAemz9JULDZ5GY

@@Koboto Well, consider me impressed! So I saved your album to my collection and started following you over at Spotify too 😊 I know the grind to get people to listen on Spotify (it's one of the most difficult things as an artist these days), and you really do deserve a LOT more traction than you're currently getting there 😊

I am also super super inspired by Ms. Gudnadottir of late!! Thanks for the patch! I'd love to experiment with creating some stereo/panning effects with a drone like this - I'm hoping to add an MN X-Pan to my system to do just that!

Hey! Thanks so much for watching and commenting. I just saw that she won the Oscar this year as well. Much deserved. I did also love the score for Uncut Gems this year. I don’t think it deserved to win necessarily but definitely deserved a nom. If you love synths, its definitely worth checking out. I also just released a video with my thoughts on that. I made the BG music with the JD-XA, in the style of Uncut Gems (To the best of my ability). Have a look if you have time. :). Thanks again for checking out my channel!

Possibly. What VST synths are you working with?

@@Koboto That would be sweet. I'm a Logic and Slate user, so predominately Alchemy and ANA. But, at the end of the day, whatever VST you're familiar with would be awesome!

Yeah, I saw that as well...I heard her say that she recorded the sound of an old door at the abandoned power plant for hours and used the sounds extensively in the score. Such amazing work. If she doesn’t win the Oscar for Joker this year, it’s total bullshit. Thanks for taking the time to watch my video!
