I hope they all look out for you now and when you get older. If my older sister made that sacrifice for me, I would make sure she is set financially!

Finishing the live "in the future". I was wowed and completely understand Sam's feelings after hearing the back-of-envelope expenses of $250,000 and what impact that had on Sam/Sam's childrens' quality of life and the emotional quality of Sam's life having to relocate to a city she really didn't like to care for siblings. I thought initially thay these were 7-18 yr olds. Nooo this is college kids. Maybe year one for freshman and for one..maybe two cousins/siblinghs...but 5 for 4 yesrs each feels like a massive massive ask. WOOOOOOW. Boundaries Early Is powerful take away. Thank you.

This was such a refreshing conversation in so so many ways! I own two homes as part of my retirement strategy and I love it but I understand it’s not for everyone. The part that got me was having financial and emotional boundaries with our loved ones. I’ve watched too many broke and broken down black women struggling in their 60s and 70s. I do not want that to be me. My mother luckily was able to get subsidized housing, however, her social security check is not enough so nearly everything else about her life falls on me. It’s exhausting to support and fill the gap for another adult. We need to have more conversations with other black women who think it’s ok to bring kids into the world that they cannot financially support because often that child becomes their retirement plan and that is debilitating. There are so many things that I have not been able to do because, I’ve financially helped other people. I definitely could have been retired by now if I hadn’t made those decisions. I’m good and done and I really don’t care anymore. I’ve seen other black women friends and one black man take on burdens that are not theirs and the result is stress and adverse health conditions. Never again.

Hey Adalia! This information is so amazing! Thank you so much😊... also, it sounds like the mic has a short and there's a lot of static and the sound goes in and out. I've noticed it the last few videos. Thanks again for getting all this information out!
