Omg I have that book! It's called Mincing Mockingbirds Guide to Troubled Birds and it is absolutely hilarious! There are several paint prints, each with a little story or threatening saying just like the corn chip crow. My favorite is the humming bird one

And I'm going to be completely honest, when I first saw the two interacting in the trailer I thought perhaps they might be mates. (In hindsight, Solgaleo and Lunala may have been a better analogy...)

Considering how Gen 7 was the first to have pre-evolutions for legendaries, been open to the idea. Cresselago looks nice, as you incorporated the Moon Rabbit concept (as it’s been well known) and you made it adorable too with the feet and smooth design. Regi is a nice concept and I can see why it’s not a pre-evo as it’s like a beta concept similar to Regirock. Malon is also super cute, imagining the concept of it trying to destroy but fails, since you incorporated that. Thermeta also fits since you said Heatran is bug like in appearance, and super cute like the others. Also like the name of the Zacian/Zamazenta pre-evo, as the pronunciation is clever. It being Fighting/Fairy is nice as it alludes to what type it keeps based on what it evolves into.

I think "Regiadam" would still work since the Regis also seem to be named after ages, so it could also represent the "Adamic"/early man time period.

Normally I'm against just giving Prevos out randomly (cause weaker pokemon like Chimecho didn't need a prevo) however giving them to Legendaries could let us have them during the story where they're not that great but when strife starts a knocking, they evolve into the mighty legendaries we know and love/tolerate.

What would have been really cool is having the thing with Karablast and Shelmet, but with the Pre Evolutions of Darkrai and Cresselia, where Darkrai's prevo looks kind of like Cresselia, and Cresselia's prevo looking like Darkrai, with specific body traits being able to transfer over to the other pokemon to make it evolve, and more than likely during a trade.

these are really cool! there’s always been a distinction between legendaries and most other pokemon: since they don’t evolve, they’re timeless, they never had to learn and grow. but… seeing these, it would be fun to consider them the actual pre-evolutions of legendaries, but because they’re immortal and evolved so long ago, nobody remembers the pre-evolutions or, the pre-evolution forms are closely guarded so no humans can catch and raise them for malicious purposes

Zapupuru is so adorable. Love it's design. I feel it should evolve at Level 45 & who it evolves to is similar as to how Tyrouge evolves into Hitmonchan & Hitmonlee: If the Attack stat is higher than it's Defense stat, Zapupuru evolves into Zacian. If the Defense stat is higher than it's Attack stat, Zapupuru evolves into Zamazenta.

Malon is everything I would've wanted from a Yveltal prevo and looks like it could evolve into the life force stealer. I also really like the lore of Regiground being this test model Regigigas made before creating the much sturdier golems.

I bet to evolve Malon you'd have to have a full party (including Malon of course), let every member faint (except for Malon) during one battle, and then make Malon win the battle. The lore explanation could be that it gathered enough life energy from all the fainted Pokemon around it to evolve. [FYI I'm watching this video on silent so if TrueGreen's description of Malon doesn't fit my evolution method at all please forgive me] 💙

id love to see a prevo of the unova dragons, i think it could be really interesting since it would be more of a prevo of the ultimate dragon. since we dont know what the ultimate dragon even looks like you could get really creative with it, and maybe it could even take slightly more inspiration from kyurem since its slightly more of an empty shell without having all of the themes off truth and ideals in the design yet. id like to see your interpretation of it

You know what would be a interesting concept, if they have non legendary variants in specific regions and only are rumored to become the legendary version after 1000s of years. This would make common legendary Pokemon like heatran explainable and would make it make sense why you can't evolve them to the legendary variant because the ones caught are young or would outlive the player before evolving. While old ones are experts at evading human

I have been thinking about a similar concept. Not prevos for legendaries though, but Phione-like in concept, that is, non-evolving offspring. These pokemon would hatch from eggs generated between legendaries and a new form of Ditto, say it's a fairy type for example. Instead of looking so baby-like though, they'd look more like middle forms and will be just as strong as them.

I feel like zapupuru should be another case of cosmog, where the version gives you the final form. Plus, like cosmog, solgaleo and lunala are the male and female forms of cosmog, and in lore wise, one of the dogs is male and female..or hypothesized as.
