Creating lovely textured rusty papers with PaperArtsy Rusting Powder and Kozo studio papers

Watch as I use Paperartsy Rusting Powder, vinegar and papers from Kozo Studio to create some lovely rusty grungy texture. You will also need a deep plastic tray, a fan brush and some blank newsprint paper.

After watching your incredible results, I ordered some Rusting powder and some Kozo papers. I haven't received my papers yet but did just get my rusting powder and have tried this today. I love these, and the ones I did. However, the rust rubs off. I’d like to fix them with something, but not sure what to use. Suggestions?

Thank you, you could try a coat of matt medium applied with a sponge. Laying the rusted papers on a non stick craft mat to apply the matt medium might make it easier.

What sort of vinegar are you using here?

Any type will work. I usually use apple cider vinegar, but I had run out, so this lot was just plain white vinegar. It all smells pretty strong, but I find the apple cider a little less pungent 😆
