Yes, one of the best ways to add color. Also, could make separate locs with the color and space them as desired throughout the head rather than damaging one's own hair. I think either of these techniques would be great when someone just wants to add color to some tips of their locs.

OMG! This is an absolute game changer. I had my hair sister loc'd a little over a year ago and I have some clip in extension from years prior. (They were not cheap lol). I didn't know what to do with them but Gurlllllllll I'm hype now. I'm about to spend a week trying this out with them because I would love to have more thickness in my locs. Thank you for detailing this video. I bought the exact same clip-ins in length 16inches. Since I have microlocs that were started with 2 strand twist I did the same on the clip-ins too. To make this easier I put the clips ins on my hair first in one section and twisted them that way. Best decision ever and it felt like I was just doing my hair. I did the same thing when I the crochet needle to make them into locs but I also used a small brush to help create the loc look.

That is how I am going to reinstall mine. Double twist first then go in with the hook and Loc them so you have a variation patterned LOC. Thanks for the confirmation. Yours look great.

I’m thinking that rather than making individual locs using loose hair this is a much better method. Not only can you have more control over the consistency in size but the hair is already “anchored” on the weft making it easier to handle. Pure genius!

They look great but I want more fullness. I'm practicing making the locs with the crochet hook on some old clip ins now and girl, its a lot harder than it looks. 😫 I got the hook a few months ago to tame some of the frizz and loose hairs on my Husband's traditional locs. So I've gotten a little practice in on him, but these small ones I'm trying to make are on a whole different level. I remember themukisa11 showing a twist and rip technique years ago, I may try that also on a few to see what works better for me. Thanks sooo Much for the inspo!
