I have to admit, I was a bit scared when you said you wanted to turn my Smocalf into a minotaur. They were my favourite of the first stage starters and I loved the idea of them being spoiled in her teenage years. I was really hoping that you wouldn't turn them into a fire-fighting type but thought you would go all out and give them boxing gloves and tusks or something. Thank you for turning them into a majestic harvester cow instead. Now, I have only one more thing to say: Smocaf, I choose you!

I used to create my own starter Pokemon in a little sketchbook. From what I remember I made: A Fire/Poison Snake(Because Snakes are poisonous and the fire type comes from the whole Chinese New Year theory) A Grass/Fairy Koala(Fairy to represent the playful and joyful side of a koala and grass because it is a koala) A Water/Ground Rhino(Ground because when I thought of Rhinos, I thought about the ground, and water because there was no other type left) I also found it cool with how they all have a 4x weakness to each other(Water and Ground is weak to Grass, Grass and Fairy is weak to poison, Fire and Poison is weak to Ground)

I really like how each final stage evolution represents a different emotion about humans. The grass type Pokémon stays relatively neutral towards humans. The fire type likes and works with humans. The water type resents humans. Idk if this was on purpose but I think it’s greqt

In a slight amendment and appropriation to Professor Oak's speech to Red upon his triumph at the Indigo League over Blue, I have this to say: "They have grown up so much since we first began with Eleafant, Smokalf and Dolflow! The starters have come of age!" Ron, you have brought this thrilling trilogy to a neat conclusion. But what distinguishes this video from other artists designing their own Pokémon is the of a central theme and their respective region is the consistency, the smooth, plausible evolution in the designs of the starters. Moreover, you weave all three videos perfectly in foreshadowing the greater adventure yet to come in both the new region and the Pokémon that will inhabit it. This is an awesome addition that also raises enthusiasm and anticipation. Although it was predictable with the benefit of hindsight, I was not expecting the announcement of the Asone region to be included in this installment. I think one of the most underappreciated, yet critical features of a fully-evolved starter is their ability to recognizable as a fully-evolved version of their basic form. One particularly prominent example is the increasing pallor of Smokalf's hide upon its evolution into Agnite first and then Oxinerate, in addition to the the development of the flame on the crown of its head and its tail. Moreover, the consistency in the Pokémons' designs as assistants to humanity in maintaining a balanced relationship with the natural world, or punishing mankind for their destruction of the environment is also evdent in the skillful selection of the music score. By opting for the Eterna Forest remix for Precephant, it wonderfully illustrates its predisposition as a wise, nurturing and ultimately benevolent behemoth, whose conservation of the natural habitat of wild Pokémon is its primary concern. The selection Route 113 remix is perfect for Oxinerate. Not only is Route 113 in Hoenn blanketed by the volcanic ash from the crater of Mount Chimney. Moreover, volcanoes, eruptions, lava and magma are associated with fire. Volcanic soil is also extremely fertile, enabling for abundant harvests of crops. Finally, the Undella Town remix wonderfully illustrates Bellumar's anger and hostility toward human encroachment on the ocean biome. A coastal resort town, to the perception of the Psychic Wave Pokémon, is symbolic of mankind's mistreatment and exploitation of the hydrosphere and all aquatic life. However, one criticism I must point out is the failure to include the dimensions of the starter Pokémon. You mentioned in the first installment of the series that Eleafant was the biggest and heaviest of all the first-stage starters. An inclusion of a size comparison against an average sized adult human Also, you partially hinted at Bellumar becoming "way more colourful as it evolves", in addition to its aggressive nature toward mankind. A reference to the more complicated view of dolphins as lethal predators and their violence toward others of their own kind could also lend emphasis to its design. These are just minor criticisms, however. All in all, this was an engaging and exciting finish to an awesome trilogy. It not only leaves one with a sense of enjoyment in its chartering of the growth of the three starters, but a sense of anticipation as one prepares to unlock the mysteries of the Asone Region. I can't wait to see what Pokémon will make their debut in this new adventure! Keep 'em coming, Ron!

In true starter form, my favourite first, second, and third stages are all different lines. If this was a real region I'd definitely have to go with Smocalf though, since the third stage is always what decides it for me and Agnite is the one I really love at that point.

I think it would be incredible to see a multi-creator collaboration to make a fan made region. Precephant is my personal favorite of this trio. It love its design and lore you came up with. Oxinerate is awesome pokemon with an unused type combination competitive pokemon players are waiting to use. Bellumar reminds me of heroic Malamar of the sea. The perfect nickname for this pokemon would be Bubbles from Spongebob. Anyway, all of these pokemon are awesome!

I really thought that the region will be based on India, cause the Grass starter is based on an Indian Elephant, Mammoth and Ganesha. The Fire starter will be based on the sacred cows, Minotaur, and cows are extremely common in India. The water starter because it's India's national aquatic animal

Im also trying to come up with my own starters. Cant draw them yet out of my mind tho lol. Grass/Dark - Wolf - as a puppy, it has a twig in its mouth to use signature "fetch" move - as it evolves it slowly gains tree or flower like properties. Calling this Treebark lol. - on final stage, the twig has developed as well to be more boomerang-like. Similar concept to Zacian biting a sword. And similar to Grookey's twig developing too. - a wolf that gains power from the sun instead of the moon (despite being a Grass/Dark type lol) Fire/Psy - Sheep - this guy will have cosmic powers. - jumps high, rolls into a ball, lits its wool and crahses down like a shooting star or mini comet (Baa Baa Blaze lol) - other moves inflicts sleep status (concept of falling asleep when you count jumping sheep) Water/Fighting - Bear - cant say much about this. A grizzly bear just fits perfectly for me lol. Been wanting this to be a bear way before Urshifu came out. - hidden ability involves absorbing water when hit by it... and boosts its next punch attack Kinda thinking about a backstory too wherein the starters are born out of legendary pokemons.. instead of just being bred by the professor. Hence why my grasswolf has common concept with zacian. My fire sheep will be related to Solgaleo and Lunala... where cosmic powrr concept came from. Water bear is just. bear. but.. a cool bear lool. Born out of Keldeo

Kruegerlock is based on Freddy Krueger (The Antagonist Of A Nightmare On Elm Street), and Hemlock (A tree in the Pacific Northwest). Leatherhund is based on Leatherface (The Antagonist Of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), and "hund" (The German Word For Dog, as well as the second half of Dachshund). Platyston is based on Platypus, and Bryanston Pictures (The latter is the name of a movie studio from the 70's).

I'll edit this comment with something that relates to the video, when I've watched said video. Edit: Grass starter is easily the best one out of the 3 design wise shame it has an mediocre typing and stats are a bit lackluster, Fire starter looks a bit off to me but I love it's typing and feel as though it would be great to battle with in Smogon (especially because Drought means it could be a good partner for Venusar). Water starter is too similar to Primarina in my opinion just with a worse battle premise and typing and so is my least favourite outta the 3, still a great design.
